' ' i 'I t s " , ", ; " Miss Mary (Jerry) Walker Temple Rites July 21 Will Unite MjssMary Walker, R. H. Beckett Charming Miss Mary (Jerry) Walker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee R. Walker of this city will become the mid-July, bride of Ray H. Beckett, Jr., of Los An- Pgeles, announcement of their engagement en-gagement and approaching marriage mar-riage being made known this week. The couple will exchange vows next Wednesday, July 21, in the Manti LDS Temple and later they will be honored at a garden reception re-ception at the home of the bride's parents. Miss Walker is a graduate of the Springville high school and attended at-tended the BYU. She is currently employed in Provo. Mr. Beckett will receive his degree de-gree from the BYU in August. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray H. Beckett of Los Angeles. For the garden party honoring the newiyweds, the bride-to-be has chosen a delicate pink lace underlaid under-laid with pink taffetta. It is fashioned fash-ioned with long sleeves and rounding round-ing neckline with pearl trim. A tiny shell cap trimmed with seed-pearls seed-pearls will hold her veil of pale pink in place. Attending the bride will be Janice Jan-ice Beckett, as maid of honor and Joyce Simpson, JoAnn Fullmer and Ila Taylor, bridesmaids. They will wear pale blue organdy gowns of identical design. R.obert Walker, brother of the bride, will be best man and Lynn R. Walker, another ' brother will be usher. The couple are planning a honeymoon honey-moon to the canyons of southern Utah enroute to California. |
