Show illapleton News By Mrs. Norris T. Binks j Phone 0109-IU j Mayor and Mrs. Maston Wentz are enjoying the company of a nephew, Raymond Howard of Holiday. He plans on spending the summer with them. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Williams and famiiy accompanied by Mary Jo Gividen have recently returned return-ed from a ten day trip to California Cali-fornia and the west coast. They visited with friends and relatives at San Diego and enjoyed the trip through Redwood Park. They traveled as far north as Oregon before returning home. t Young Susan Binks of Payson is spending ten days at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Norris T. Binks while her parents Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Binks are visiting with relatives in California. Cali-fornia. The Tiny Taylors 4-H Club members went to Pleasant View Thursday afternoon to receive instructions in-structions on 4-H work for the summer. They returned to the home of Nolene Hjorth where they worked on scarfs which each girl is making. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served to eight club members. Last week they met at the home of Suzanne Hjorth and spent the afternoon doing needle work. Mrs. Hannah Binks left for California Tuesday morning to be with her daughter La Von who will undergo an operation on her heart soon. LaVon is the wife of Bill Talmadge and they are making their home at Long Beach. Mrs. Georgene Price of Manti was honored on her birthday with a picnic supper which was served on the rear lawn at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vance Gividen. Approximately twenty relatives were present Georgene is making her home with her parents while her husband Roy Price is completing his basic training with the marines. Among the guests present was Mrs. LaVern Broadbent of Black-foot, Black-foot, Idaho, who is a sister of Mrs. Annie Gividen. Mr. and Mrs. S. Lavell Bird and Mrs. Esther Hurst accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. Fern Whitely were in Payson Wednesday to attend the funeral services of a cousin Mrs. Clara Bell Moore who died in the Payson Hospital from the affects of a bee sting. Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Curtis and family have just returned from a trip to the canyons of southern Utah and northern Arizona. While in Arizona they were guests of a sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stalling. They also visited visi-ted with Mrs. Curtis' parents Mr-and Mr-and Mrs. Jos. Stark who are making mak-ing their home in St. George. They were gone ten days. |
