Show Sidewalks foBe Instated; Other Projects Planned Spring-ville City is planning at least two sidewalk improvement districts, it was., announced this week. One proposes construction of a sidewalk on Fourth South from Eighth East to 13th East on the north side of the street. The other district is on Seventh South from Second East to Fourth East on both sides of the street. Property owners are to be contacted con-tacted to get permission and will be consulted as to assessments preparatory to beginning the project. pro-ject. Harold Whiting, councilman, is also seeking cooperation of the city in an improvement project in front of the seminary and plans are being considered for curbing the section to permit drainage into the Fourth South run-off. Because the council feels that some changes are needed in plans for a heating and a cooling system sys-tem in the library, bids have not been let as was planned. Property owned by the city in Kelly's Grove adjoining that of Kolob Stake, will be turned over to the Boy Scouts to be developed as a camp site, city officials have agreed. The council has also decided de-cided to have Kelly's Grove area sprayed to control earwigs. |
