Show SLC Man Stricken In 'Canyon, - Dies In Hospital A number of relatives were in Salt Lake City last week to attend funeral services for Arlo Bateman, 55, who was stricken with a cerebral cere-bral hemorhage while on a picnic in Hobble Creek canyon and died a few hours later at the Utah Valley Val-ley hospital. Mr. Bateman, a mailman of Salt Lake, had gone to the canyon with a sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Perbam and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Finiey, and be came suddenly ill at about 8 p.m. He was rushed to the office of Dr. Judd and then to the hospital, where he died about midnight. , He was the brother-in-law of Mrs. Perhajn; also Shirley' Poul-sen, Poul-sen, Harold Poulsen and Mrs. Stella Stel-la Clements all of Springville. |
