Show CUBS ENTERTAINED Mrs. Elton Kettle entertained a den of Cub Scouts at her home, Monday afternoon, with their leader, lead-er, Mrs. Beth Mangum. Corn on the cob, ice cream and cookies were served as refreshments. David Lundberg is now employed employ-ed at the Roosevelt Bottling Works in place of Glen Stanley. Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Johnson and family were visiting friends at Naples on Sunday, Aug. 14. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Brighton and two children have moved over to the Charles Bingham home. The Brightons will run the store at Alterra during the absence of the (Binghams, who plan on spending spend-ing the winter months in Salt Lake City again this winter. Mr. and Mrs. Ferris Winn, of Maricopa, Ariz, announce the arrival ar-rival of a baby boy, born to them on Aug. 10. The Winns have two daughters. Ferris is the son of Mrs. Effie Winn. Herbert Molyneaux and daughter, daugh-ter, Mildred, came from Pinedale, Wyo. to get Jerry and Allen Molyneaux, Moly-neaux, who have spent the summer sum-mer months with their grandparents, grandpar-ents, Hr. and Mrs. Eric A. Stolla. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Squire accompanied ac-companied Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lemmon, of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Verna Lemmon and Mrs. David Owens, of Panguitch, to Idaho one day last week, wheie the group went through the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Mrs. Verna Lemmon is Mrs. Squire's mother. Mrs. Ward Evans of Maeser, mother of Gordon Evans, was operated op-erated on in the Vernal Hospital recently. Mr. and Mrs. Evans and two children went over Sunday afternoon to see her. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Patrick and family and Mrs. Robert Norton, of Salt Lake City, were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ned Gines. Mrs. Norton is Mrs. Gines' mother and Mrs. Patrick her sister. Paul' Clark, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Clark, of Salt Lake City, who has spent a long time at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Squire, has returned to his home. He will attend school in Salt Lake City this coming year. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Detomasi, of Orem, were, visitors at the home of Mr. and' Mrs. S. A. Brighton one day last week. Miss Patsy Gines, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Ned Gines, was operated op-erated on last Wednesday evening at the Roosevelt Hospital. We wish her a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edwards, of Roosevelt, and Mr. and Mrs. Al-den Al-den White are in Washington, looking over the country. George Bracken is employed at the home of the Blaine Enersons, building their present home. They plan quite an extension. Mrs. Effie Winn is visiting at the home of her daughter and son-irt-law, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Brower, of Ogden. The group went to Grass Valley, Calif, to attend the reunions of the families of Mrs. Fannie Winn of Salt Lake, Mrs.. Delia McKowen of Vernal and Mrs. Effie Winn. Miss Clara Stolla is home, after spending the summer in Salt Lake city. Miss Billy Jen Brisbin, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Brisbin, will be Queen at the rodeo on Friday Fri-day and Saturday evening. Her attendants at-tendants will, be Miss, Sharan Ras-mussen Ras-mussen and Miss Celia Kay Jenkins. Jen-kins. , Mr." and Mrs. Aaron Beckstead and family of Sandy were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Butcher one day this week. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gardner and family returned on Thursday after enjoying a fifteen-day vacation. They first attended the family reunion re-union at Grass Valley, California. Later they enjoyed a trip to San Francisco, Oakland and visited Mr and Mrs. Howard Gardner at San Bruno, Calif. While in the California Cali-fornia area Earl and son Danny took in some deep sea fishing.
