Show Ladies Aid Is Entertained Mrs. Milton Lott and Mrs. Paul Felter were hostesses Thursday afternoon at the Lott home to members of the Ladies Aid. President Presi-dent Gladys Harris presided at the business meeting. Plans were discussed dis-cussed for their annual fall bazaar ba-zaar and dinner. Work meeting was held and delicious refreshments refresh-ments served to Mrs. Homer Robinson, Rob-inson, Mrs. Bliss Lott, Mrs. R. H Burdick, Mrs. Harris, Mrs. Lionei 'Babcock. Mrs. Allan Bafccocfc, Mrs Fred Todd, Mrs. I. R. Tuttle, Mrs Ted Thomas, Mrs. Olga Solmonson, Solmon-son, Mrs. Carlos Clark and Mrs. P. E. Church. An infant son was born Sunday to Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Reed at the Roosevelt Hospital. The young mother is the former Dixie Felter. The proud young father was granted grant-ed leave from the U. S.. Navy and was home to welcome his new son. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stephens and children left Friday for Rifle, Colo, where they will enjoy a ten-day vacation, visiting relatives. Mr. Stephens is assistant supervisor at the Myton Pump Station on the Rangely-Salt Lake Pipe Line, William Robinson spent Friday and Saturday visiting his mother, Mrs. Homer Robinson, coming to get his young son and daughter, who had been visiting their grandmother grand-mother during the past week. He was accompanied by Douglas Workman of Layton, who is also a grandson of Mrs. Robinson. He will remain here until the opening of school in early September. Mrs. Ed Ponton and children, who were visitors at the home of her father, Lee Cooper, during the past week, left Monday to return to their home in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Ponton, a former Myton resident, resi-dent, was widely entertained by her many friends during her visit while her husband enjoyed fishing. fish-ing. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Meranda, their sons, Stephen and Tom, and their grandson, Dyke, came from , American Fork, Saturday, to spend ' two days at the Meranda farm, attending at-tending to their crops. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Tolboe, who are now residing in Provo, spent j the weekend at their Myton home and visited friends. Terry Calvert came from Nine Mile, where he is employed at the Nutter Ranch," to be with his grandmother during the illness and death of his grandfather, Emery Nielson, who passed away Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish spent Sunday in Duchesne visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart, Mrs. Dal-gleish's Dal-gleish's parents. Mrs. Helen Larsen, of Salt Lake City, is spending her vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Denzel Hemphill. Mr. and Mrs. John W. Tucker, who have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Murray during their 6 weeks vacation, left Tuesday for Cambridge, Mass, where Mr. Tucker will resume his studies at Harvard's Graduate School' of Education Ed-ucation and Mrs. Tucker will take over her duties as head of physical phy-sical education at the Boston Y.W.C.A. |
