Show Four Clovers Top Pleasing Bilhartioxy- The Four Clovers, four very nonchalant non-chalant young men who do tricks off a teeter board with the greatest of ease, steal the show in the new Roxy theater program which opened Monday. Imagine, if you can. young chappie dropping down pn a teeter-totter., teeter-totter., hoisting another off the other end far enough to do a double somersault before he lands in a chair balanced on the shoulders of anftifdr Just-to"- make it extra difficult, the third man is standing on a three-foot table. Looks Easy But Or imagine taking off from the teeter-totter to make the third layer on a triple shoulder stand. It's difficult and it's sensational, but the smooth timing and agility with which the boys perform make it look easy. The boys have to be good, however, how-ever, to top the new bill. The Golden Rollers, for instance, do tricks on a roller skating platform that would stump most of us if we had the Deseret gym floor to perform on. We can't help wondering how often the pretty young feminine member of the team scratched her tai fan tow sha Usew4 ws sfeta of striking matches held in her teeth on the floor while being swung around by her partner. Others 11 rase Rosita does a turn in near nudity, her chief costume being a long fringe on a skimpy shawL Erner and Fisher contribute a novelty dance act with hats to fit the costumes. Eddie Cochran does a good job as master of ceremonies as well as a comedy turn, and the sugar and cream is provided by the Roxy girls in a dancing chorus. The new Roxy screen program includes a laugh hit, "We're On the Jury." with Victor Moore and Helen Broderick, and "Weekend Millionaire.'' Million-aire.'' with Buddy Rogers and Mary Brian. |
