Show KIDNAP REPORT PROBE PUSHED I WHITE PLAINS, N. Y, Dec. 7 ijfr The disappearance of Arthur Fried. New York business man, still mystified authorities todsy as they 1 pushed investigation into reports he had been kidnaped. Fried, 32. A few hours after his car was found abandoned in a lonely section on the outskirts of White Plains, it tu reported he hsd been abducted snd was being he dlfor ransom, the amount varying from $100,000 to $200,000. His family repealed denials they knew anything of a kidnaping, holding hold-ing to the belief Fried had disappeared disap-peared voluntarily. "So far as our investigation is concerned." Chief of Police William Miller said, "Fried is still a missing miss-ing person, nothing more." aHe added the police "have no Ideas about it." Despite tha denials of a kidnaping, kidnap-ing, one investigator disclosed yesterday yes-terday one of Fried a five brothers.
