Show Older 4-H Club members form new county club A group of 4-H members from throughout Utah Count organized an older 4-H Clut recently. Organized for the purpose of bringing togethei all older 4-H members into one club, the group is designed tc strengthen the program anc enlarge it. Two of the special programs discussed by this older old-er group were participation hi gavel 4-H Clubs which is a part of "Toastmaster International," Interna-tional," and 4-H automotive by which they learn more of the automobiles that these teenagers are driving. Special interest was expressed in Careers Ca-reers and Vocations and phases of recreation which could be in-cooperated in-cooperated in this type of program. pro-gram. Bonnie Mitchell of Provo, was nominated and elected chairman of this group. Selected Select-ed to work with her are: Linda Yocum, Rex Nilsen, Donna Fowler, Carma Lindstrom, Sheila She-ila Hawkins. It will be noted that this 4-H group is setting forth to install a program for all 4-H'ers in Utah County and that they also will be asking any boy or girl between the ages of 15 and 21 to join them if they so desire. Any boy or girl in any community com-munity of the county can contact con-tact any member of this committee com-mittee and tell them of their interest. They will not have to have been a 4-H member. They could also .contact the extension exten-sion service offices in Provo. Mrs. Myrtle Ault of Holiday spent a few days of the past week with her sister, Mrs. Blanch Beal in Springville. |
