Show MA State this weekend fters IVosh, Tomon pon visit; Musettes to sing Sunday night Two prominent LDS Church leaders will be featured speakers speak-ers at the quarterly conference of the Kolob Stake, Saturday and Sunday, January 18 and 19. Elder William M. Walsh will represent the Church's General Welfare Committee and Elder William O. Tolman the Genealogical Gen-ealogical Society. General sessions of the conference con-ference will be held Sunday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Kolob Stake House, 650 East 500 South. They will be conducted by Stake President, Ernest A. Strong, Jr. Visitors are welcome. wel-come. Elder William M. Walsh, a member of the General Welfare Staff, has been an officer and teacher in several auxiliaries of the Church. As a young man he served as a missionary in Texas. Tex-as. Elder Tolman, a native of Oakley, Idaho, has been particularly par-ticularly active in the Church Department of Education and in Scout work, having served 34 years in the latter field. He is presently serving as a Seminary Sem-inary principal and .'is a member mem-ber of BYU faculty. In addition to the general sessions Sunday, the entire stake membership is also urged to attend a meeting Saturday evening at 7:00. An interesting interest-ing filmstrip "In Mine Own Way," will be shown and also an outstanding movie, "Eternity "Etern-ity is Now," will be presented at this meeting. A leadership meeting Saturday Satur-day at 4:30 p.m., will be held for the stake presidency, high council, ward bishoprics, stake and ward genealogical committees, commit-tees, high priest stake officers and ward group leaders and secretaries. The general session of conference con-ference Sunday evening at 7:00, sponsored by the stake MIA organizations, will feature an outstanding musical presentation presenta-tion prepared by the Musettes. Everyone is invited to attend. |
