The January meeting of : Camp Cottonwood DUP was 1 held at the home of Mrs. Kva jlnson with Mrs Margaret Snelson, assisting hostess. Cap tain Margaret Campbell was in ChTheehistory of John Hubbard Noakes was given by a granddaughter, grand-daughter, Mrs. Emma Long, and the lesson on the Me of Ephraim Mecham. The lesson on two Utah pioneers was presented by Mrs. Florence Ek-ker, Ek-ker, class leader. The camp members gave a special welcome to Mrs. Blenda Jorgensen, who has been ill and confined to a rest home in Orem for some time. Assisting Mrs. Whiting with refreshments at the conclusion of the program, were Mrs. Jennie Jen-nie Thorpe and Mrs. Vida Whitney. Whit-ney. Camp Mountain View An enjoyable program entertained enter-tained the members of Camp Mountain View DUP Thursday afternoon of last week, when the group met at the home of Mrs. Barbara Clark. Mrs. Leonia Cameron gave the history of her great grandfather, grand-father, Wliliam Snow, and the lesson on Utah Pioneers was presented by Mrs. Minnie Groesbeck. Vice captain Trysa Loback, was in charge of the meeting, which included also a guitar duet by Nancy Reed and Paul Blanchard. , Refreshments were served at the close of the meeting by John Nielson was by .class leader, lead-er, Ruth Burrows. Added to the program also . was a vocal solo by Willis K. Johnson, "The Flag Without A Stain." The book "Our Pioneer Heritage," Her-itage," given at each meeting, went to Captain Campbell. Lunch was served by the hostesses at the close of the program. Camp Locust Grove Twelve members of Camp Locust Grove gathered at the home of Mrs. Barbara Hend-rickson Hend-rickson for their January meeting meet-ing Thursday afternoon of last week. Captain Rose Nielson was in charge of the meeting and also gave the lesson for the month on "Two Utah Pioneers." Hostesses for the meeting, who served refreshments at the close of the program were Mrs. Hendrickson and Mrs. Norma Oakley. Camp Spring Creek The home of Mrs. Philda Finley was the meeting place for DUP members Camp Spring Creek, Thursday afternoon after-noon of last week. Mrs. Lucille Johnson and Mrs. Stella Straw were co-hostesses. Mrs. Nellie Burt, vice captain cap-tain of the camp, presided. The history was given by Mrs. Clara G. Boyer on the life of Louisa Rowley Guymon. The January lesson on two Utah Pioneers, was presented by Mrs. Rose Mower. Lunch was served by the hostesses at the close of the meeting. Camp Springville Meeting at the home of -Mrs. Helen Whiting for their January Jan-uary meeting, members of Camp Springville DUP were entertained with an interseting program. Captain Shirley Nielsen Niel-sen presided. Mrs. Erma Hansen gave the history of her great great grandfather, Joshua Mecham and of her eTeat |
