| Show r I F Utah State State State-a Farr Fair Huge Hug e Success I If f THE Utah state fair of 1011 1911 has passed into f history a success from every standpoint including attendance The exhibits were better than ever er bc before ore the attendance was greater than thau hitherto and the fair directors had no complaint to make Saturday night when the were finally switched off and the great event was over The immense crowds that attended tho the fair during the week were just as well satisfied as were the tho fair fairi i directors and the tho expressions ions of praise for the tho latter because became of the excellent manner in which the thc exposition was managed were many and pro pro- fuse It is the aim of the fair management it seems to make each year better than the last and of course coarse that will be le done next year car Some improvements improve improve- ments and changes undoubtedly will be made the large open space between the race track and the exhibit buildings g will undoubtedly be used to better advantage nd although that was impossible this time owing to the desire to afford plenty of room roam for those who desired to hear heal I President ent Taft The rhe removal of many of the exhibits from the south side of the grounds to this open space will help matters quite a bit it will add to the time attractiveness attractiveness ti of tho the exhibits and the ease case with which they can c mn bo be reached This is not in the thc nature o of criticism but of suggestion it is plain that those who had charge of this years year's fair have done nothing for which to be criticised The rhe splendid arrangements for Thursday on which day the President honored tho the fair fair- with his llis attendance could not have been improved upon Handling a crowd of persons is no j joke ke nor an easy task But the fair management did it wisely and well R J 0 |
