Show Services held for Mainland John Arthur Mainland, 73, of 260 E. 500 N., Kaysville, died Feb. 7, 1988 of complications following a stroke. He was born Jan. 21, 1915 in Great Falls, Mont, to John Arthur and Elizabeth Jane Gilchrist Mainland. Main-land. He married Vion Madsen Aug. 20, 1947 in Tremonton. He was reared and educated in Great Falls, Mont, and lived there until he was 34 years of age. He graduated from the Kansas City School of Watchmaking, then moved to the Layton-Kaysville area where he lived the remainder of his life. He worked at Hill Air Force Base as a watch and instrument repairman re-pairman for 34 years. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the medical corps. He was a High Priest in the Kaysville 3rd LDS Ward, serving in the past in scouting and as a home teacher. Surviving is his wife of Kaysville. Kays-ville. Also surviving are two brothers-in-law Blain and Duain Madsen of 7 , JOHN ARTHUR MAINLAND Tremonton, three sisters-in-law, Elaine, LaDee, and Leota Madsen of Tremonton, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, one brother and two sisters. Funeral services were held Feb. 1 1 at the Kaysville 3rd LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop David Van-Drimmelen Van-Drimmelen officiating. Interment was in the Riverview Cemetery in Tremonton. |
