Show Smith wins writing contest CENTERVILLE Paul Thomas Tho-mas Smith of Centerville, who is an institute instructor at LDS Business Busi-ness College in Salt Lake City, received re-ceived a $100 fourth-place prize in the Brigham Young University-sponsored University-sponsored family history writing contest which was held in conjunction conjunc-tion with the 150th anniversary of the LDS Church in Great Britain. His 125-page entry was titled, "Brothers in the Gospel: Honoring William Robert Smith, James Herbert Her-bert Smith, Their Wives and Children." Chil-dren." The four winners were honored at a luncheon where they received certificates and cash awards. A panel of judges read 41 entries written writ-ten about family history with a tie to Great Britain. The competition is the last in a series of events sponsored spon-sored by BYU in commemoration of the anniversary |
