Show Local SCS Groups Sign Memo Of Understanding The Uintah Basin Soil Conservation Con-servation District Board of Supervisors Su-pervisors signed a revised supplemental sup-plemental memorandum of understanding- with Soil Conservation Conserva-tion Service at their regular monthly board meeting last Friday Fri-day night, announced Harold Dudley, chairman. The Soil Conservation District signed a memorandum of understanding under-standing with the U. S. Department Depart-ment of Agriculturre when it was organized in 1941. This agreement provides a way for Department of Agriculture agencies ag-encies to work with our Uintah Basin Soil Conservation District which is a legal subdivision of Utah. Mr. Dudley says the supplemental supple-mental memorandum of understanding under-standing which was signed Friday Fri-day night authorizes the Soil Conservation Service to furnish j soil and water conservation specialists spe-cialists to work with the SCD in treating conservation prob- i lems on farms and ranches, j Recent change in SCS made this revision necessary. "Our conservation goal is still the use and treatment of our agricultural agri-cultural land according to what it needs for protection and improvement im-provement for permanent agriculture," ag-riculture," commented Mr. Dudley. |
