Show SEASONAL CHATTER By Sugar 'N Spice (Too' Late For Last Week) BEFORE WORKING in the earden, or doing other rough work rub your finger nails over a piece of soap. This will prevent pre-vent the earth from getting in under the nails, and when you wash yur hands, the soap comes out easily. CONGRATULATIONS to Unions Un-ions Junior Prom committee and class advisers who so superbly su-perbly portrayed the Prom theme, "Stormy Weather." Never Nev-er have we seen the hall so completely decorated and anyone any-one who has ever helped with any decorating at all would agree that the class and advisers advis-ers must have spent many, many hours to have such an outstanding event. We compliment compli-ment them highly, and say, "A wonderful job well done. CAROLYN CAR-OLYN ROSS was Prom chairman, chair-man, and MAURA HURLEY chairman of the decorations they must be very proud of their untiring efforts. Many exquisite dresses were on parade, and really looked beautiful during the promenade, which also was very impressive it would be impossible to single out two or three formals. but all looked lovely. IF THERE IS BUT a small amount of paint left in a can to be stored, pour paraffin over it before putting it away, and it will not dry out, but can be used to the last bit. ELVA McLEA LOOKS smart in her new pink and black striped strip-ed cotton, with round, gathered neck-line. The black velvet and rhinestone button trim adds a finished touch. She wears very dainty filligre flowered jewelry with it. . THE SEMINARY BUILDING at Union High is taking on a new look with several land scape shrubs and trees being added to its beauty. NOTICED WANDA REYNOLDS REY-NOLDS in a cleverly-styled pink faille summer frock, enhanced en-hanced with a touch of purple at the neck and purple shoes. WE'RE SURE THAT GRANT CHUGGS are enjoying their new home more every day. From the street, wall colorings, drapes, etc. look very attractive, attrac-tive, all indicating- that the Chuggs have moved upstairs from their basement. WE LIKED MAXINE HURLEY HUR-LEY in her turquoise faille dress. The high-neck jacket really gave it added style. IF YOU HAVEN'T WALKED past LENEL GIFTS latedy, do so this week, and view the attractive at-tractive Easter window, symbolizing sym-bolizing the meaning of Easter. It really gives one something to think about. THE SHORTER THE BETTER BET-TER That's what hair stylists are pointing out, and especially the artist who styled ESTHER WOGEC's hair recently very short, but most becoming. Mentioning Men-tioning Esther, we would like to comment on the grey cotton she was wearing princess style, with red and white low rolled collar. LENORE HUTCHINGS should wear pink more often it's lovely with her complexion. complex-ion. We concluded this when we saw her wearing a pink linen lin-en shirt-waist style dress with turned-back collar. White piping pip-ing trimmed the collar, sleeves and dress bodice. TINY SEEDS ARE EASIER to plant in an even row if sprinkled from a salt shaker. |
