Show Girls' Day At Jr. High April 30, Public (s Invited The annual Girls' Day at the Roosevelt Junior High School is scheduled for Friday, April 30, with a full-day calendar outlined out-lined for the popular event. At 11:00 a.m. a style revue will be presented by the Home Economics Department and the FHA Club, under the direction of Mrs. Helen Buxton, instructor. instruc-tor. The theme "Roses" will be featured throughout the day, symbolizing the FHA Club flower, flow-er, the rose. Commentator for the fashion show will be Rolene Duke and pianist, Charlotte Henrie. The girls will entertain their mothers at a luncheon at 12:15 in the lunch room. , There will also be activity for the boys, with a track meet slated to begin at 1:00 p.m. Burr S. Eldredge will be charge of this event. ; Parents are invited in-vited to attend this activity. Functions for the girls will continue at the Roosevelt City Park at 1:30 p.m., when marching march-ing and dancing demonstrations' will be directed by Vola Hancock, Han-cock, physical education instructor. instruc-tor. Awards for posture, dan-' dan-' cing and marching will be presented. pre-sented. Judges for this activity will be Hazel Ashton, Afton Harrison and Ruth Redmond. Parents may then return to the school if they desire to further witness the room displays. dis-plays.
