Show New Counselor Lorin Mills was sustained as counselor in the MIA last Sunday Sun-day evening. He replaces Evan Olsen whose employment makes it impossible for him to continue con-tinue in this o'ffice. LaVora Mitchell also accepted a position posi-tion as teacher in the Primary. Mrs. Herbert Anderton returned re-turned with her son, Ned, from Salt Lake City last Saturday, where the lad has recently undergone un-dergone an operation. Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Marks and children, of Los Angeles, were visitors last week at the home of Mr. Mark's sister, Mrs. Wesley Bastian. Mr. and Mrs. Wally Stevenson Steven-son and daughters, of Duchesne, were Thursday visitors at the Thad Wilkerson home. Mrs. Corwin Labrum and son, of Currant Creek, visited last week here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Gardner. Mrs. Harold Whiting returned home last Saturday after spending spend-ing the past six weeks enjoying points of scenic interest in the vicinity of Boston, in company with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fairon Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Wilkerson, Wilker-son, who have been living in California, have leased the farm here belonging to his father, William Wilkerson. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Davis and daughter, Linda, spent a few days in Salt Lake City last week. Mrs. Addie Glines, mother moth-er of Mrs. Davis, underwent an operation there at that time. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Wilson and family, of Los Angeles, California, Cal-ifornia, were recent visitors here at the William Mitchell home. Mrs. Fern Peterson and two children spent the past weekend week-end in Evanston, Wyoming, visiting relatives there. The Ferris Hehrie family furnished the musical numbers for Sacrament meeting at the Ballard ward last Sunday evening. COMMUNITY CLUB Members of the Community Club met at the home of Geneva Gen-eva Larsen last Friday evening. Guest of honor was Miss String-ham, String-ham, of Vernal, who entertained entertain-ed the group with a felm of scenes taken during her trip to the Holy Land and other points of interest in her tour. Dainty refreshments were served by Mrs. Larsen and co-hostesses Fern Oberhansley and Roberta Crozier. Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Wilkerson Wil-kerson spent Wednesday visiting visit-ing the latter's mother. TOWN SADDENED Friends of Bruce Baxter were shocked and saddened to hear of his death in a truck accident last Thursday night. Most of his boyhood was spent in this community, com-munity, where he attended elementary ele-mentary school. Neola was well represented at the funeral at Pleasant Grove on Monday. |
