Show Welcomed Home A missionary welcome party was held Wednesday evening, honoring Leila Morrill, who recently re-cently returned from her labors in Western Canada. The evening's eve-ning's entertainment was under the direction of the MIA. Mixers Mix-ers and square dances were enjoyed en-joyed under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Merrill. The program presented was: two' vocal duets, Doris Morrill and Thelma McKee; umbrella dance, Joan Ross, Polly Mc. Conkie, Marta and Ruth Morrill, Mor-rill, Peggy Goodrich and Valora Merrill; jokes, Laren Ross, accordion ac-cordion solo, Marta Morrill; two instrumental duets, Charles Glines and Farrell Simmons; two blackouts, Vivian and Polly McConkie, Merril Goodrich and Joan Ross; remarks, by Leila Morrill and Bishop Goodrich. Punch and cookies were served. CONJOINT MEETING The Sunday evening conjoint meeting was under the direction direc-tion of the MIA. The Beehive girls and leaders began the program pro-gram with the Building of the Hive ceremony. Speakers were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dillman, of Roosevelt, recently returned from the Western States Mis sion. Special musical numbers were: MIA Your Chorus, song, "I Need Thee Every Hour;" Marta Morrill played "Caude Lune," as a piano solo. Stake officers present were, Alton Calder, of Vernal, and Thelma Winn, of Lapoint. Ray Haslem was sustained, Sunday, as assistant ward clerk. Ashel Manwaring and Chellis Caldwell, of Vernal, were visitors vis-itors Sunday at Sacrament meeting. Mrs. Bill Workman and children, of Rangely, were visitors vis-itors during the week with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. K. Harvey and family. |
