Show Faculty Meeting Sunday School Faculty meeting meet-ing was held at the Russel Todd home last Wednesday evening, eve-ning, with eleven of the officers and teachers present. Some time was spent in preparing various programs. Ercil Johnson presented pre-sented the Faculty lesson, after which Mrs. Todd served ice cream and cookies. Miss Joanne Todd is employed employ-ed at the Huish Drug Store at Roosevelt. Mrs. Lawrence Brighton spent Friday at the home of her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Keith Snyder at Al-tonah. Al-tonah. Norman Angus was home from the USAC over the weekend. week-end. He came to attend the Junior Prom at Union High School. Paul, the small son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jenkins, of Tooele, became very ill last week while his parents were here, and he remained with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Jenkins. Mr. and Mrs. George Bracken received a telephone call on Sunday afternoon from their son, Lynn, who is laboring as an LDS missionary in Casper, Wyoming. Mr. and Mrs. Elton Kettle made a business trip to Vernal on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Byard Tuft and son, of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Mowry, of Tooele, and Jack Jensen, of Salt Lake City, were last weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Angus Anderson. Allen Gines at this writing is a patient at the Roosevelt Hospital. He was taken very ill early Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Childs and two sons, of Salt Lake City, made a business trip here last week and called on old friends. Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Pool and two daughters, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend at the home of Mrs. Pool's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Bracken. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Bolton attended the funeral services for Morris Durfee, held at Vernal Ver-nal on Tuesday. Mrs. Bolton was a niece of Mr. Durfee. Mrs. Calvin Squire entertained entertain-ed a group of ten at her home last Monday in honor of her son, Lyle's birthday. Games were played and lovely refreshments re-freshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hewitt, who moved to California last winter, have returned and he is now employed at the Roosevelt Roose-velt stock yard. Their children will remain in California until school closes. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Todd, of Logan, were visitors last Sunday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russel Todd. Bernard Larsen and Mrs. Seth Asay have been added to the staff of Ballard ward Sunday Sun-day School teachers. An Easter program will be presented at Sunday School on Sunday, April 18. Mr. and Mrs. Seth Asay and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Zane Asay and family attended an Asay reunion while they were in Salt Lake City attending conference. con-ference. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell McMul-lin, McMul-lin, Mrs. Ralph McMullin and twin daughters, Sharon and Karen were last weekend visitors vis-itors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph O'Neil in Price. There will be a pre-school round-up at Alterra on April 30 from 2 until 4 o'clock. PRIMARY MEETS Ward Primary Preparation meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Boyd Winn last Thursday Thurs-day evening with fifteen officers offi-cers and teachers in attendance. After the lesson work, Mrs. Ercil Er-cil Johnson assisted Mrs. Winn in serving refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Marx, of Los Angeles, have been visiting vis-iting at the home of Bishop and Mrs. Golden Collins. Mr. Marx ! is Mrs. Collins' brother.. |
