Show (Late For Last Week) DUP Entertained The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers met Thursday at the home of Elva Lisonbee ,with the' following ladies attending: Ida Hor-rocks, Hor-rocks, Vera Larsen of Arcadia, Lois Stansfield, Hazel Walters and Edith Brady.- Mrs. Walters presented pre-sented a very interesting lesson. The December meeting will be held Thursday, Dec. 6 at the home of Ora Holgate in . Arcadia. All members are urged to be present to enjoy the Chirstmas party and the exchanging of gifts. The Primary sponsored a very successful Hallowe'en Party Monday Mon-day evening. A lovely lunch ,wes sold at a very reasonable price to raise funds for the Primary. Prizes , were given for the best Hallowe'en costumes. They were given to Lane King, David Taylor and Gene Van Tassell. 1 Fourteen MIA workers and members mem-bers enjoyed the Lucky Clover dance at the Duchesne Stake house one evening last week. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Van Tassell attended the South Summit and Union football game at Kamas last Friday. Joan Van Tassell took a group of friends to Kamas on Friday to see the football game. Mrs. Frank Meyer and Mrs. Earvin Murphy attended a quilting at Myton Friday at the home of Mrs. S. F. Mortensen Sr. Mrs. Frank Meyer and daughter Sarah attended a shower honoring Fern Clark Wilkerson at Myton Saturday. Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald accompanied accom-panied her sister, Mrs. Rachel Martin to Salt Lake Wednesday. They were accompanied as far as Heber by Mrs. Phoebe Swain who returned to her home after a visit here with Mrs. Fitzgerald. Mrs. Evelyn Murphy, who has been suffering from a back ailment the past few months was taken to the Roosevelt hospital Sunday. She returned home Tuesday. Jerry Shields, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wanless Shields was operated operat-ed on Monday at the Roosevelt hospital for appendicitis. He is convalescing at his home at the present. Mr. and Mrs. Bryrell Lamb went to Ephraim on business Wed. Betty Fitzgerald and Kay Van Tassell attended the 7th grade dance at the Roosevelt Jr. High Friday evening.
