Show Former Myton Resident Dies Mrs. Phoebe Eliza Smith Parrish, 65', a former resident of Myton, died Thursday at 6:30 a.m. of cancer, can-cer, at her home in Salt Lake City. She was born August 19, 1891, in Bear, Idaho, a daughter of Clarence Clar-ence E. and Ada Warner Smith. She married Lyman M. Parrish in 1913 in Salt Lake City. They resided in Myton for a number of years, leaving here in about 1950 to make their home in Salt Lake. Her husband died in 1954. She was an active member in the Myton ward of the LDS church. Survivors are five sons and five daughters; Wilmar of Roosevelt; Lloyd, Rex, Carlyle and Leon all of Rangely, Colo.;, Mrs. O. W. (Maxine) - Sanders, DeAnna Parrish Par-rish both of Salt Lake; Mrs. Roy (Genevieve) Cowlishaw of Murray;. Mrs. Glen (Ada) Hanson of Whitehall, White-hall, Montana; 19 grandchildren and three brothers. Funeral services ser-vices were conducted Tuesday at 12 noon in the 30th ward chapel. Interment was in the Bountiful City Cemetery under the direction of the Larkin Mortuary. Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LaVor Dennis were their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Don Rawson and small daughter. Brenda Sue, Dave Hat-ton, Hat-ton, Bill and Tom Burke, Don Willard, Acel Bingham and sons Barry and Troy, brother and nephews neph-ews of Mrs. Dennis, all of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Woodruff and family of Hiawatha; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gunderson and children of Dragerton. The men of the party were among the hunters hunt-ers who tramped the fields and hills in search of pheasants. The women prepared food for the weary 1 hunters when they returned. return-ed. All returned home " Sunday evening except Mrs. Rawson and Bredna Sue who remained to spend a' week with her parents. , Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Gingell and family of Kearns came to spend the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gingell and join other members of the family in the pheasant hunt. Dr. and Mrs. Bob Keller and small daughter also were visitors at the Gingell's, parents par-ents of Mrs. Keller. Other visitors were Dr. Ralph Sels and Dr. Ed Stults of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gingell enjoyed en-joyed a weekend visit from Mr. and Mrs. Phil Grimm and sons, Jim and Bob and Ben Jolly of Salt Lake City, Bert, Fred and Phil Carter and Odie Hart of Provo. The group came to participate in the pheasant hunt and also to visit with the Gingells. Other guests were Steve Jensen and Don Grayson, Gray-son, also of Salt Lake. |
