Show Ellen Bracken Phone 62062 Conference Held By belief Society Relief Society Conference was held Sunday evening, with Mrs. Dora Freston, a stake member, in attendance. Talks were given by Dorothy Kettle, Beatrice Lundberg, Lela Bingham, Bishop Beardall and Mrs. Freston. The Singing Mothers sang several songs. Mrs. Ora Hul-linger Hul-linger was sustained as Literature leader, Eva Rushton as visiting teacher topic, and Ruth Beardall as chorister and LaBerle Gutzman an officer. Mrs. Dalberg received a gift for her faithful service in the Moffat ward presented by Mary Arnold. RELIEF SOCIETY MEETS Mrs. Eunice Cook presented the Theology lesson in Relief Society Nov. 6. Mrs. Dorothy Kettle gave the visiting teachers topic at 1 o'clock. 1 Following the lesson testimonies were borne by some of the ladies present. They are at present pre-sent with the baby's grandmother Mrs. Eva Bellon. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Collins and daughter Elsie, of Salt Lake are enjoying a few days visit with relatives. Thomas Jeppson, principal at Alterra, was absent from school-Thursday school-Thursday due to illness. Mrs. Annie Anderson of Mtn. Home has been a recent visitor at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McMullin. Miss Patsy Gines, who is attending attend-ing soholl at the U.SAC, spent several sev-eral days at the home of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ned Gines. Miss Gines had been ill before coming home. Mrs. Karl Shisler entertained a group of children at her home Oct. 26 in honor of her daughter Adrian's Adr-ian's 5th birthday. Special guests from Vernal were Mrs. Dan Price and children, Mrs. Straussie Bir-chell Bir-chell and grandson Brent Birchell and Mrs. Arda Lester and children from Grand Junction, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wiscomb of Provo were callers at the Geo. Bracken home on Friday. They had been to Vernal to visit their son Arthur, who is principal at Uintah High Schol. They were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Azel. Seeley on Friday. The Wis-combs Wis-combs enjoyed visiting with people in Ballard. , - - - Four babies were blessed and named at Fast Meeting Sunday, Nov. 4, as follows, babies of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dean, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Dalberg, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Robert McArthur. Ralph Ercan-brack, Ercan-brack, Linda McLure, Geddes Hul-linger Hul-linger and Tommie Collins had all been baptized and were confirmed con-firmed in meeting. Misses Eva and Essie Sprouse of Salt Lake City spent last week end with their parents, Mr, and Mrs. Kenneth Sprouse. Mrs. Jesse Hullinger, Mrs. Le-land Le-land Angus and Mrs. Calvin Squire were judges at election Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Killian. Absentee ballots were received from Lynn White, who is on a mission in South America, and Lynn Bracken, who is with the Armed Forces at Heidelberg, Germany. Miss Hannah Richards and Clair Hollingsworth took their two rooms to Vernal Friday where they visited places of interest. CORRECTION: It should have stated that Mr. and Mrs. Clayden Russel of Ogden visited at the Karl Shisler home recently in-, stead of the Karl Betts home. Mr. and Mrs. Arlo McDaniel are the proud parents, of a baby boy born at the Roosevelt hospital Monday, Nov. 5. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Sprouse are the proud grandparents here. Mrs. Leland Angus and daughter Joan made a trip to Salt Lake Thursday, where Joan received a medical checkup. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Harmston of Provo visited with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Shisler last Tuesday. The Harmstons moved from Bennett Ben-nett to Provo this past summer.
