Show i teeUh-Bemett Mrs. Fern Houston Mr. and Mrs. Vern Hamaker have moved into the home formerly form-erly occupied by Winfred Long. Vern has taken employment with Labrum-Adams Motor Co. as a body and fender worker. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Haslem and son, Billy, attended the farewell party given at the Whilerocks Chapel in honor ot Mr. and Mrs Clinton Betts, who are moving to Pleasant Grove, and for Jay Murray, who is leaving soon for Korea. Melvin Peterson, teacher at the Union High Seminary, accompanied ac-companied some of his students 1 to church here Sunday. Donna Hall, Dallas Murray and Keith Ellingsford were listed on the program' as speakers. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer have moved into the house belonging to Mary Hamaker; Mr. Elmer is working at McKinlay Motor Co., Roosevelt. 1 Mrs. Geneva Gilbert, Mrs. Gertrude Rasmussen, Mrs. Doris Freston, members of the Relief Society Board, visited at thj home of Mrs. Nellie Horrocks', on Tuesday. There was no meeting meet-ing at the church Reva Hall and Doris Haslem attended a party Thursday evening eve-ning in honor of Lela Labrum. who is leaving soon to fill a mission mis-sion in the western states. I The baseball game played at Bennett Saturday was not very well attended. Montwel scored 4 and Bennett 3. On July 22 a quilting party will be held in the ward house. Lunch will be served. The officers of-ficers are hoping for a good turn out. The Bennett Oil committee met with their attorneys at the Hotel Utah in Salt Lake last I Saturday. |
