Show Gome On, Kids! Get In That Jyiy 24th Parade Who can tell, yours may be just the one to win a prize your decorated bike, doll buggy, wagon. Old Rover, or what have you, I mean. It's time to get on your thinking cap and rig up something for that miniature parade for July - 24 they tell me it's going to include every kid in the county, and believe me, you're one of them. Seems someone said the theme for the day will be "Fairyland in Nursery Rhyme," but Mrs. Laris told me this morning that ( something' new had been added a prize for the best pioneer colony, since the day really commemorates com-memorates the pioneers' settling in Utah. So you have many choices either something from your favorite Nursery Rhyme book, or some idea about the pioneeds. So, get busy! , As far as we can find out there isn't too much money to divide up into prizes, but we have stretched it, and anyway, who cares about a prize when they figure the heap o' fun they'll have just being in the parade. . Maybe the list of prizes will help you get an idea for your part in the parade, so here they are: Besi float, $3.00 best nursery rhyme group, $2.00; best pioneer pi-oneer colony, $2.00; best decorated deco-rated bicycle, $1.00; best decorated dec-orated doll .buggy, $1.00; best decorated wagon, $1.00; best comic portrayal, $1.00; best character char-acter costume, $1.00. Oh, yes, we're reminded to tell you that the parade iwul start promptly at 10 a. m., with lining up at the Elementary I School promptly at 9.30 a. m. |
