It can bring increasing wealth and wellbeing, or bankruptcy and unhappiness. When buying a farm, a complete com-plete and systematic approach is of vital importance. Many people buy a place because they happen to like some particular feature. Many weaknesses are overlooked. Others buy when they would do better to continue con-tinue renting or even quit farming farm-ing altogether. Do I want to farm for the rest of my life? Do I know enough about farming to meet the competition? Why do I want to buy a farm? Can I make just as much money by renting? Would I be happier on mv own place or would the mortgage be a millstone around my neck? These are a few questions to discuss with your family before deciding to buy a farm. If you've never farmed before, be-fore, certainly it would be better bet-ter to work for someone else to gain some experience. After a few years you might be ready to rent a place and set up your own farm business. Then your final move would be farm ownership. own-ership.
