Show 7 tide II , Doris P. Morrill Fay Cook, George Hawkins Wed En Temple Miss Lela Fay Cook, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Cook, of Tridell, became the bride ol George Elmer Hawkins in rites performed in the Salt Lake ! L D S Temple Friday, June 6. Elder Mathew Cowley of the Council of Twelve officiated. The bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Cora Hawkins, honored the young couple with a reception at Provo the following evening. The bride was honored at a shower, June 13, at the Tridell Chapel. Games were played and refreshments served. A short program was presented as follows: fol-lows: vocal solo, Ilia Rhae Mc-Conkie; Mc-Conkie; reading, Gwena McKes; accordian selection by Luana Glines. A wedding dance was enjoyed Friday evening. The young people have been attending B.righam Young University Uni-versity for the past three years. They were both affiliated with Nu chapter of Lamba Delta Sigma. Sig-ma. The newlyweds will make their home in Provo' until Mr. Hawkins finishes school. Mr.' and Mrs.. Ivan Morrill and daughters, Leila and Wandu Ann. and Mr. and Mrs. Delhi Morrill visited last week in California Cal-ifornia with Pfc. Deloy Morrill, who is stationed at Camp Pendleton, Pen-dleton, at Oceanside, with th? Marines. Enroute home they visited vis-ited friends in Colton. Calif. Mrs. June Caldwell and daughter, Phyllis, are visiting this week in Vernal. Jack Goodrich Good-rich is spending two weeks at Camp Williams with the National Nation-al Guard. Mrs. Ellis Morrill and daughter, daugh-ter, Marta, attended MIA Convention Con-vention in Salt Lake last week From there they went to Provo to stay a week while Marta is attending the BYU music clinic. clin-ic. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bartlett are the parents of a baby girl, born June 13 in the Roosevelt Hospital. Barbara and Leila' Morrill went to Salt Lake to attend the MIA June Convention. While there they were privileged to attend the Golden Gleaner Banquet. |
