Show Indian Service To Transfer Supt. Forrest R. Stone Announcement has been made by Dillon S. Myer, commissioner of Indian Affairs, that Forrest R. Stone, superintendent of the Uintah and Ouray Agency at Fort Duchesne, is being transferred trans-ferred by the department, i Mr. S'.one was named superintendent super-intendent of the Flathead Agen cy at Dixon, Mont. He will be succeeded by Harry W. Gilmore Riverside, Calif., who has been the program officer in the Indian In-dian Bureau's Sacramento area office. Mr Gilmore has been with the Indian Service since 1937, when he was aopointed school principal at Walker River, Nev. He is a native of Oklahoma and is one-onarter Cherokee Indian. Mr. Stone is a veteran of the Indian Service, having served 37 superintendent of the Black-foot Black-foot Apency in Montana, and thp Sand River Agency in Wyoming He is a nativp cf Missouri and a graduate of Kan- sas State Agricultural College, i i |
