Show Kiwanis Observes Brotherhood Week "Brotherhood Week" was observed ob-served by the Roosevelt Kiwanis Club last night with the Support Sup-port of Churches committee in charge of the program. Speaker ' was Ray Summers, recreational director for the Ute Indian Tribe, and a former member of the Morals and Narcotics division di-vision of the Salt Lake police department. Mr. Summers gave an interesting inter-esting discussion on the religious relig-ious beliefs of Jewish and Christian denominations, and suggested that we must main-i main-i tain a broad feeling of tolerance toler-ance toward the fellow who doesn't happen to think as we do religiously. Brotherhood week is observed annually in observance of the anniversary of the founding of ! the National Conference of j Christians and Jews. This is the i 25th anniversary. Last week the club heard Dr. i Philo P. Farnsworth, principal of the Altamont High School, who pointed out the four major dangers that can and will destroy des-troy the American way of life, unless we as Americans remain strong in our support of the ideals and prinicpals that founded found-ed this great democracy. |
