Show Equipment Co. Plans Farming Festival America's 50 - year growth from mud roads to paved turnpikes turn-pikes will be shown in "The American Road," Ford Motor Company's fiftieth anniversary motion picture, during the Ford Farming Festival to be presented present-ed in Roosevelt on Saturday, Feb. 27, by Bowman Machinery Co'. The program will be held at the show rooms from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. No admission will be charged and everyone is invited in-vited to attend, is the announcement announce-ment made by Marion Bowman, manager. "The American Road," made largely from precious original film footage from Ford's files, begins with the horseless carriage car-riage era and shows how transportation trans-portation has influenced American Ameri-can life, with emphasis on farm life.- Also to be shown is a second movie, "The Hope of Tomorrow," Tomor-row," a ten-minute full-color motion picture showing highlights high-lights of the National 4-H Camp in Washington, D. C. i "The Hope of Tomorrow," a : tribute to the 4-H movement, shows historic places visited by 4-H boys and girls from every state and their formal visits with President Eisenhower and Vice-President Nixon. "The Ford Farming Festival provides an opportunity for us to say, 'Thanks for your patronage,' pat-ronage,' to our old friends and to get acquainted with new friends," Mr. Bowman said. "We believe that the people who' attend will not only have a good time, but will also take home some practical farming ideas and inspiration. The Festival Fes-tival is our tribute to the farm people of this community." |
