Show Myton School News Reported by Kenna Faye' Nielsen The 5th and 6th grades at Myton My-ton School are very conscientiously conscientious-ly pursuing their studies this week in anticipation of a field trip to Salt Lake City, April 13th. The two classes will visit the' Observatory Observa-tory at the University of Utah as a climax and conclusion to a Science Unit they have been studying concerning the stars, the universe and the constellations. They will also visit the State Capitol Cap-itol and the Temple Grounds. A special school bus is being chartered to take the group out. Accompanying them will be 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Ted Thomas, and 6th grade teachers, Mrs. Ariel Michie and Principal Milton Nielsen. Niel-sen. They will return to Myton Friday night. Several new pupils have been enrolled in the school, this past week: Randy Ward, kindergarten; Gregory Ward, 2nd' grade;, Mac Murray, 6th grade; Luke Jordan, 5th grade, who is staying with Rosella Johnson; and the Clegg family: Leland, 5th; Richard, 4th; Roger and LaRue, 2nd. We wish to .' welcome these' new students to our school. o The Myton School third "grade has just completed a poem for the school lunch room. Their teacher, Mrs. Dorothy Walker, explained how much the class enjoyed the posters put up by the 1st and 2nd grades in the lunch room, so they decided to make one also. Their poem is entitled: "Our Lunch Room" Curtains at the windows, Pictures on the' wall; We like our pleasant lunch room, It's a' happy place for all. Fine cooks to give us Good food every day; For all this we're grateful, And "Thank you," now we'll say. |
