' : 1 f f v : ...... . . t ... . . , I ) ( I III I llT if M 1 ll l lllllH P-TA PRESIDENT Orin (Hank) Swain will lead P-TA activities in Roosevelt for 1956-'57. 1956-'57. He was elected president of the organization at the April meeting last Thursday. Orin (Hank) Swain was elected president of the Roosevelt Parent-Teacher Parent-Teacher Association last .Thursday night at a meeting held at the Elementary School. Named to serve with Mr. Swain as vice-president vice-president was Mrs. Paul G. String-ham, String-ham, and as secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Lewis Taylor. Second and third vice-presidents of the organization are automatically automat-ically the two principals, Lawrell Jensen, Jr. High School, and John H. Blaine, Elementary School. The meeting was conducted by Principal John H. Blaine. Guest speaker for the evening was Dr. D. G. Mantyla, who discussed dis-cussed Children's Dental Health informings his audience of the im portance of six-month examinations examina-tions for children and consistent teeth brushing. Entertainment was provided by Ard'ella Mitchell's second grade and Ann Buchanan's third grade students, who presented part of their school . assemblies. The attendance banner went to Mrs. Buchanan's room at the Elementary Ele-mentary School and honors at the Jr. High School were woij by Mrs. Orvil Rudy's home room. The May meeting will feature installation of officers and a special spe-cial program honoring the' faculty members. Officers serving during the past year are as follows: president. Venil. Johnson; vice - president, Minola Laris; secretary-treasurer, Pearl Pack. |
