Show Ircadia By Mrs. Merle Ross Birthday Party Honors Lynn Ross Mrs. Merle Ross assisted by her daughter, Donna, entertained at a buffett supper Saturday night, complimenting the 15th birthday of her son, Lynn. Enjoying the evening's entertainment were Jackie' and Beverly Neilson, Ear-line Ear-line AHred, Pam Murdock, Joan Zimmerman, Barbara Sutteer, Laura Lau-ra Leavitt, Ann Murphy. Linda Schmiett, Derwyn Bowman, Pam Harmston, Connie Fenn and Robert Rob-ert Hacking of Roosevelt; Larry, Norman and Billy Dye, Glendon Malnar and Judy Bastian of Neola; Fred Evans, Gale and Clifton Lar- sen. Bob Tarmer, Gary Thompson, Richard Capson and Marsha Lusty of Arcadia; Jerry Shields of Bridge-land, Bridge-land, and Ronnie Calvin, of Salt Lake City, besides the honored guest. . ATTEND CONFERENCE Attending Primary conference in Salt Lake were the following Ar-, cadia ward' officers and teachers: Gladys Capson, Barbara Gilbert, Vera Larsen, Nancy Tanner, Marsha Mar-sha Lusty, Eleanor Capson. Cecila Gilbert also accompanied them and visited at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Max Mullins. They returned home Friday, with Gladys Capson, j staying to visit her parents. At conference they met Elsie Neilson from Winchester, Wash. She returned to Arcadia with trienv where she has been a guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Shields. Word has been received 'that Golda Jensen underwent surgery in a Salt Lake hospital on Saturday. Satur-day. We' all wish her a speedy recovery. re-covery. Stanley Ross made a business trip to Salt Lake Friday, returning the same day. Overnight guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Milt Larsen, Saturday Sat-urday were Bill Musser and son. Jud'd, of Salt Lake City. Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Johnson were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Krem-mer Krem-mer and son, Duane, of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Kremmer is an aunt of Mrs. Johnson. Strong winds in Rangely, Colo, prevented the men from working Thursday, so Max Ross took advantage ad-vantage of the lull and spent some' time with his family. There was no Sunday School held in order that members could stay home and listen to conference. confer-ence. PRESENTS ASSEMBLY Myton"s first grade put on the assembly' program Friday. Betty Evans, Bessie Lusty, Ora Holgate, Arlene Gilbert, Audrey Keller and Barbara Gilbert attended. They report re-port it was a very nice program and that the youngsters all did a fine' job of 'their parts. Mr. and Mrs. Marv Bell had as weekend guests, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hansen, Gregg and Kay, of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Hansen is a sister of Mrs. Bell. NEW 4-H LEADERS Arden Evans and Scott Lusty are going to be the new 4-H leaders lead-ers for the Builders. Sunday afternoon, after-noon, they called a meeting at the Evans' home to get organized with their work. The' boys in this group will be Roland Capson, Evan Lusty, Lus-ty, Laird and Baird Evans. Mr. and Hrs. Orlo Richens and family returned home Sunday, having spent the winter in Salt Lake City. Pres. and Mrs. Hale Holgate left Friday afternoon for Salt Lake' City to be in attendance at the general conference. Their granddaughters, Marilyn, Janet and Gloria, who have been visiting them during spring vacation, returned re-turned home with them. Mrs. Bill Tanner also accompanied them, to be with her sister, Mrs. Charlie Jensen, during her operation. They returned Sunday night, bringing Mrs. Cynthia Larsen, who has spent the winter in Salt Lake visiting vis-iting with her children and friends. Much activity has been- going on at the Marvin Shields' home since their daughter, Mrs. Elsie Neilson, has been here visiting. She was wanting to say "hello" to her many friends here. It was very nice having her with us again. She left by bus Sunday morning for Salt Lake City where she will meet the people she came to conference with and they will return to their home in Washington. Washing-ton. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Ross spent Sunday evening in Myton visiting their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Ross. Max Gardner of Salt Lake City was a Sunday caller at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Shields. Mr. and Mrs. Chad Evans were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. LeGrande Gilbert. The afternoon after-noon was spent in listening to the conference broadcast. Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Lusty accompanied ac-companied by Mr. and Mrs. Grant Murdock of Duchesne, went to Logan Saturday to attend the funeral fu-neral services of Orson Ryan, a prominent state educator, church and civic leader. His wife is a sister of Mr. Murdock and Mrs. Lusty. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Heugly and children of Salt Lake City, spent Sunday at the Morgan Keller Kel-ler home. Mrs. Betty Evans took care of Carl, Jr., the small, son of Bishop and Mrs. Carl Van Tassell of Bridgeland while they attended conference in Salt Lake. Austin Beal of Salt Lake City, came in Thursday to get his children, chil-dren, who had been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LeGrande Gilbert. Larry, Janis and Joyce have spent their spring vacation here. Mr. and Mrs. John Capson, son, Lamar and his girl, friends of Salt Lake City, came in Sunday. Mrs. Capson remained at home, but the other ones returned to Salt Lake Saturday evening, where they have employment. After spending a week with his aunt and uncle, Ronnie Calvin returned re-turned to his home in Salt Lake. Mrs. May Shields and daughter, Mrs. Elsie Neilson, were Saturday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ross in Pleasant Valley. MEET BRIDE-TO-BE The R. S. Lusty home was the scene of a family gathering, Sunday Sun-day afternoon, the occasion being a visit home for their son, Steele, and his fiance, Esther Sisco of Salt Lake. Members joining to get acquainted with the new bride-to-be were: Mr. and Mrs. Verl Roper and son, Alden of Bluebell. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peel of Al.tamont, Mr. and Mrs. Ga'rn Gilbert and family, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Lusty and children, Mr. and Mrs. Arden Evans and family, Mrs. Lois Te'r-pening Te'r-pening and girls, Clark and the parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.
