Morrill Missionaries Honored At Farewell Dance A missionary farewell dance was held Friday night at the ward house for Miss Leila Mor rill and Garth Ross, who entered en-tered the -Salt Lake L D S Mission Mis-sion Home on Sept. 8, prior to leaving for their missions. Miss Morrill will serve in the Western West-ern Canadian Mission and Mr. Ross in the Great Lakes Mission. Out-of-town members of the families who attended the dance were Mr. and Mrs. Alton Mor-rill Mor-rill and family, Mrs. Mervin Boothe and daughter, of Orem; and Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Me.-rill, Me.-rill, of Salt Lake City. Larry Goodrich, who has been going to a Navy Training School in San Diego, has ! now been assigned a ship. He spent a few days leave here with his mother, Mrs. Ethel Goodrich. Word has been received that Lt. Max Morrill, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. LeRoy Morrill, saile-! August 25 for Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Kitchen and family, of American Fork, and Mrs. Winfred Gray and daughter, of Lehi, visited over the weekend with relatives here. A personal shower honored Leila Morrill Friday afternoon, prior to her leaving to fill an L D S mission. The shower was held at the home ol Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Morrill. Mr. and Mrs.- Ralph Prescott, of Hayden, visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Don Simmons. Mr. and. Mrs. Garn Stoker and Mrs. Annie Stoker, of Salt Lake, were Tridell visitors i Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Morrill have received word that their son, Pfc. Deloy Morrill, who was wounded August 17 in Korea, Ko-rea, is improving and has been taken from the "serious" list of patients." Mr. and Mrs. Horace Morrill Mor-rill and family, of Pocatello. Idaho, were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. LeRoy Morrill. Mrs. Dellis Morrill, visited from Sunday till Wednesday in Salt Lake and in Park City with Mr. and Mrs. Keith Harmon Har-mon and family. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Glines and family have moved to 'Roosevelt. . - Mr. and Mrs. George W. Bart-lett Bart-lett and family moved to Bonanza Bo-nanza on Friday. Mrs. Alma Preece, Mrs. Lawrence Law-rence Wardle and daughter, Ora Fay. of Vernal, and . Mrs. John Starkey, of Denver, Solorado, visited in Tridell Saturday, with Mrs. Dellis Morrill. Mr. and Mrs. Norwood Hardy and family, of Vernal, spent Sunday visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. LeRoy Morrill. |
