Show Ballard Ellen Bracken Teachers Listed For Alterra School New walks have been made at the Alterra School during the past week in preparation for the opening of school. Teachers for the school year are Ida M. Phillips, Junior J. Hicks, Boyd Goodrich, LaVern A. Smith, Mary L. Burgess, Hannah Richards, Carol Page, and Nadine Sturgeon. Spencer Squire and Jesse Hullinger will teach at Avalon. Barbara Rasmussen. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Rasmus-sen, Rasmus-sen, is employed at the Salt Lke Knitting Co. in Salt Lake City. She spent the weekend with home folks. Mrs. Pearl Jenkins is the great-grandmother of a baby girl born last week to Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Reynolds at the Roosevelt Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Stolla and daughter, Clara, have been enjoying en-joying a visit in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Betts and family, of Tridell, visited Sunday Sun-day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Betts. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cook won $100.00 on a deep freeze last week. They now have it installed. in-stalled. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Jenkins and family attended the Riding Rid-ing Club outing in Little Park in Uinta Canyon last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Shisler and Mr. and Mrs. Karl Shisler and baby enjoyed a trip through Altonah last Sunday. Mrs. Evelyn Brighton was among those who were called from Ballard to be home missionaries. mis-sionaries. Miss Barbara Hullinger attended at-tended funeral services at Neols for Jacob Gogosian, Monday, Aug. 25. She also made the trip to Price with the Royal Horrocks family to attend burial bur-ial services. Mrs. Charles Bingham tended the three children of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Snyder a few days last week while the Snyders made a business trip to Tooele. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Coston spent last Friday in Vernal and Maeser, visiting with members of their family. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Peck and family, of Salt Lake City, were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ross. They also joined Mr. and Mrs. ; Glen Stanley on a trip to Yellowstone Yel-lowstone Canyon Sunday afternoon. after-noon. Alva Snow, a member of the High Council, visited Sunday School here this week. Mrs. Ole Rasmussen and her two daughters, made a trip to Salt Lake City last week. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Earner Ea-rner and family, of Ogden, visited vis-ited a few days with relatives and friends in the Uintah Basin last week. Blaine, Keitha and Elaine attended Sunday School while in Ballard. Mr. and Mrs. John H. Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cook and Wayne Cook attended a wedding reception re-ception in Mt. Emmons last week. Several of the ladies and giris attended a bridal shower given for Miss Carol Bellon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Bellon in Roosevelt last Wednesday evening, Aug. 27. |
