Show Can You Vote? . Utahns Vote Tuesday lit Primary Election Next Tuesday Utahns who have qualified to vote in the primary nominating election will move to the polls where they will select a slate of nominees nom-inees to appear on the November Novem-ber 4 ballot along with the national na-tional candidates. In Utah, Democrats will se lect nominees for the United States senate; congressional representatives rep-resentatives from the two districts; dis-tricts; a governor; a secretary of state; and an auditor. Also appearing on the ballot will be candidates for district at torney, and in Duchesne county there is a contest between Rav Brown, of Montwel, and Ralph j H. Halstead, of Duchesne, fo-, four-year commissioner. j The Republicans have contests in all of the above offices, plus the responsibility of selecting, a nominee for state treasurer, attorney general and state senator. sen-ator. Dr. F. G. Eskelson and B. H. Stringham, both of Vernal, Ver-nal, are sparring for the spot, on the GOP ticket as state senate candidate, and for 4-year 4-year commissioner in Duchesne County. Elwood B. Carter, of Tabiona, and Floyd E. Lamb, of Roosevelt, are the opponents. In Uintah County, only one contest appears on the countv level and that is between Harry Dean and Orville Swain for the 2-year commission post. 'Elsewhere in this issue of the paper will be found a certified cer-tified list of all candidates appearing ap-pearing on the ballot in Duchesne Du-chesne County, plus a list of the polling places and names of the judges of election, j For the first time in the history his-tory of the State of Utah voters vot-ers will be selecting judicial 1 candidates on a non-partisan ballot. There are three candi- dates listed for the 10-year term and a like number for the 4-year 4-year term as justices of ths supreme court. In each case one name will be dropped, and the two high will be voted on in the November election. This ballot also appears in the paper. pa-per.
