Show Exchange Student Tells Lions About Finland i Members of the Roosevelt and Myton Lions clubs and their partners were royally entertained enter-tained Thursday night at the Frontier Grill, when guest speaker, Calvin Funk, exchange student to Finland, showed a film and very capably explained customs, dress and policies of that country. Mr. Funk at present pres-ent is the assistant county agent ag-ent for Weber county. Presiding at the meeting, which was attended by a large group, was Lawrell Jensen, pres-I pres-I ident of the Roosevelt club, who I introduced the following program: pro-gram: two vocal solos by Miss i Beverly White, accompanied by Mrs. Garth Gardner; trombone duet, Lloyd Carlson and Carl Jensen, accompanied by Janice Anderton; tap dance numbers, Janet and Mary Jane Kelsey and Betty .Timothy, accompanied accompan-ied by Shauna Gilbert. During the business session it was decided that a zone meeting meet-ing and party be held for Lion club members and partners of the Uintah Basin, Saturday, March 10, at the Roosevelt elementary el-ementary school. Feature of the evening will be square dancing. |
