Show Ballai-4 Ellen Bracken 25 High Priests Enjoy Social A group of 25 High Priests ' and their wives met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Brighton Thursday evening. Feb. 15, for an evening of entertainment. Squire Mangum gave a reading and various games were played, after which ice-cream and cake was served. .. Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Johnson John-son motored to Salt Lake City Friday afternoon to visit at the home' of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pearce. They attended the basket bas-ket ball ame while there, between be-tween the B Y U and U of U. Sunday School faculty meeting meet-ing was held . at the horns of Mrs. George Bracken Wednesday Wednes-day evening, Feb. 14. Nine officers of-ficers and teachers were present. pres-ent. Spencer Squire gave the lesson. Refreshments were served. . Visiting teachers of Relief Society So-ciety meeting was held Tuesday, February 13, at 1 p. m., with Mrs. Dorothy Kettle giving the lesson. Regular meeting- was held at 1;30 with Mrs. Eyelyn Brighton giving the Theology lesson. Alva Clark and son, Ray, made a trip to Nine Mile during the week to visit Mr. and Mrs. Theron Clark and family. Mr, and Mrs. Alton Johnson and family, of Eden Valley, Wyo., were week-end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ercil Johnson, Mrs, Vaughn Simper is at home after her recent illness. Her small baby is home, also, after being in the Roosevelt hospital since its birth. Mrs. Simper's sister, Miss Barbara Morrill, of Tridell, is assisting in the home at present. Mr, and Mrs, Ralph McMullin and family went to Mt. Home last Sunday to take Mrs. Mc Mullin's mother, Mrs. Annie Anderson, to her home. Miss Joan Poulsen and two girl friends from Duchesne were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Bracken. Friday i evening. Mrs Pearl Jenkins is visiting in Salt Lake City at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Garn , Bodily. Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Belts that their son, Ray, was in Korea. Ko-rea. Ray is also a veteran of World War II. L. F. Hutchings and B. O. Col-ton, Col-ton, of Roosevelt, visited Sunday school Sunday as stake workers. work-ers. ! I Rev Charles Ray, o the Roosevelt Baptist church has ( gone to Dragerton to labor. Rev. Ray has made his home with , I Mr. and Mrs. Olen Ferryman for some time. We wish Rev. Mrs. Anna Brady, of Salt Lake City, left for her home Friday evening, after spending Isome time caring for her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Bernard Larscn, and , new babv. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Zane Asay and I family, who have been living at Bennett for sometime, have 'moved to Ballard again, they are living in the Everett Pope home. Mrs. Glen Molyneux, of Salt ! i Lake City, is at the home of her mother. Mrs. Erfic Stolla, , with her baby daughter, who is. , receiving medical care. Mr. and Mrs. Mont S Poul-' Poul-' son and daughter, of Duchesne, have been recent visitors at the ! home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Shisler, I Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Coston. iMrs. W. T. Swisher and family, I Mr. and Mrs, Olen Ferryman and family, Mr. and Mrs. James Butcher attended the farewell I party at the Baptist church in Roosevelt, Feb. 15, for Rev. I Charles Ray. Mrs. Wm. Jenkins made a ; trip to Salt Lake last week to be near her daughter, Mrs. Lola I Mitchell during an operation. Mrs. Jenkins did some temple work while in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Betts and family were recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey MtConkle jit Tridell, I Ballard members were very well represented at priesthood 1 meetings and Relief Society convention con-vention Sunday afternoon. |
