Show RELIEF SOCIETY, ROOSEVELT WARD The social science lesson, "Ancient "An-cient Political Despotism." will be given next Tuesday at 2 p. m. by Mrs. Erma Eldredge for ,members of the Relief Society 'of the LDS Roosevelt ward. Mrs. Mildred Smith, president, presi-dent, urges everyone to attend this outstanding meeting'. RELIEF SOCIETY, SECOND WARD All members are urged to attend at-tend the regular Relief Society meeting of the LDS second ward next Thursday at 1:30 p. m. when the theology lesson, "The Ministry of the Resurrected Christ on the Western Hemisphere," Hemis-phere," will be presented by Mrs. Deon Galloway. Mrs. Carrie Wills announces that a visiting teachers' report meeting will be held at 1 p. m., and that a Singing Mothers' practice will follow the regular meeting session. 4 ALTAR. SOCIETY The Altar Society of St. Helen's Hel-en's church convened for a j regular business meeting last Thursday evening at the rec-1 rec-1 tory, with Mrs. Charles Roller, I president, taking charge. The group discussed plans for another an-other bazaar to be held sometime some-time next fall. Attending the meeting were Mrs. Neldon Nyberg, Miss Esther Es-ther Wogec, Mrs. Jewel Kolb, Mrs. Marie Harris, Mrs. John Wogec, Mrs. Ed Faulkner, Miss Helen Redmond, Mrs. Roller and Father LeMay, of Vernal. ' FIRESIDE CHAT Melvin Peterson, Roosevelt high seminary teacher was guest speaker at the Fireside Chat held Sunday evening, Feb. 18, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. j Edgar Labrum. Opening prayer was offered by Eldon Mortenson and closing clos-ing prayer by Dr. Vere Johnson. John-son. Group singing was led by Miss Edith Hardinger. . At the close of the meeting, pumpkin pie was served by-hostesses by-hostesses Joanne Labium. Audrey Aud-rey Hall, June Fenn and Mrs. Labrum, to Deloris Cook. NEIGHBORHOOD SEWING Mrs. Louie Laris was nostess to members of the Neighborhood Neighbor-hood Sewing club when they convened at her home Wednesday Wednes-day evening." Mrs. Hatch, Mrs. Schmiett and Mrs. Bellon TUESDAY BRIDGE In keeping with the month of February was the patriotic motif mo-tif which featured miniature American flags as centerpieces for the four tables of guests feted fet-ed at the Frontier Grill by Mrs. J. V. McLea, Tuesday evening. A lovely salad-course luncheon lunch-eon was served to the following members and guests: Mrs. Paul Stringham, Mrs. Paul Wilkins, .Mrs. Gordon Harmston. Mrs. Irene - Fretwell, Mrs. Bennie Schmiett, Mrs. Bob Huish, Mrs. V. A. Bair, Mrs. Axel Birch, Mrs. J. O. Orser, Mrs. Myrtle Lambert, Mrs. Eugene Harmston, Harm-ston, Mrs. Sam Weiss, Mrs. Howard How-ard Harrison, Mrs. Jack Gibson and Mrs. Wayne Malin. Named as prize winners were Mrs. Weiss, Mrs. Malin, Mrs. Schmiett and Mrs. Wilkins. VALENTINE PARTY Fun and excitement describe the cleverly arranged Valentine Valen-tine party Ellen Anderton had last Wednesday evening, Feb. 14, for a group of friends. Games were enjoyed and party refreshments, symbolic of the Valentine theme, were served, consisting of a white cake centered cen-tered with a red heart, and heart-shaped ice cream. Enjoying the party were Jean Redmond, Laura Amr- Leavitt, Arlene Rockwood, Janine Bir-cher, Bir-cher, Joan Zimmerman. Janet Liddell and Miss Anderton. |
