Show Graduate From Wasatch Academy Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson Robin-son and Mrs. George Funk attended at-tended the commencement exercises ex-ercises at Wasatch Academy, Thursday, to be present at the graduation of Miss Faye Robinson, Rob-inson, who graduated with honors. hon-ors. Miss Robinson left the following fol-lowing day with other class mates for Grand Canyon, where they will be employed during the summer months. Miss Joan Funk who was also attending Wasatoh Academy returned to her home with them Friday. Louise Gentry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gentry of Ioka accompanied them on the trip to' get a first-hand view of activities at the school as she will be a student there next year. Mrs. Alice Bywater and daughter, Sarah, returned home Sunday from Salt Lake City, where Mrs. Bywater had been receiving medical care. Mr. and Mrs. Mylan Bywater, of Clearfield, Clear-field, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bywater and small son, of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Owen Payne, of Provo', accompanied accom-panied them to spend the Memorial Mem-orial Day weekend in Myton. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Biltz and family, of Midvale, were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Burton from Friday 'till Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Thompson and family, of American Fork, were visitors Saturday at the home of Mrs. Thompson's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Guy Taylor. Mrs. Gail Lance, of Duchesne, was a Myton visitor, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Quin-tana Quin-tana and family, of Lehi, spent the weekend as guests at the home of Felix Quintant, Mr. Qintant's farter, and visited Mr. and Mrs. Evan Peterson. C. H. Cooper, of Salt Lake City, visited his brother, Lee Cooper, during the weekend. Visitors during the Memorial Day holidays at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Edwards Ed-wards were Mr. and Mrs. Golden Gol-den Butterfield, of Herriman, Utah; Morris Jenkins, of Wells, Nevada; J. P. Smith, of Palo Alto, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Murphy, of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Pitts, of Price. Mrs. Elsie Dean "came from Salt Lake City, Saturday to visit vis-it at the homes of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs Lynn Dean, and her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Hancock. Activities of the American Legion Auxiliary during the past week were making of poppy pop-py wreaths at the home of Mrs. W. R. Harris on Thursday, social so-cial meeting on Friday evening, serving lunch to Legion members mem-bers and the annual poppy sale on Saturday. Miss Dixie Felter left last week for Tucson, Arizona where she will spend 6 weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Boye Clark, former for-mer residents of Myton. Visitors at the homes of Lee Cooper and Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Cooper during the weekend holiday were Mrs. Ralph Jen-son Jen-son and family and Mrs. Ed Ponton and family, of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Zorko and Peggy and Bobbie came from Ely, Nevada to spend the long weekend visiting at the homes of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Dart and Mr. and Mrs. Matt Uresk, Sr. Mrs. R. C. Walker and daughter. Jean, of Salt Lake City, came Sunday to spend the weekend with Mr. Walker. While here they were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Burgess and family, of Price, were greeting old friends in Myton, Monday. Mr. Burgess resided here during his early school years. Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Smith, of Salt Lake City, were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gingell during the holiday holi-day weekend. Mrs. Guy Giles and children left Tuesday for Othello, Wash, where they will join Mr. Giles, who is employed there. Their many friends wish them success suc-cess in their new home. |
