Show 1 Imii Girls From Area Going To Girls' SMe Seven girls from Roosevelt and surrounding areas will have the privilege of attending Girls' Slate, to be held in Logan on June 6th. They include Deanne Asay, sponsored by the American Ameri-can Legion Auxiliary, Unit 64; Murine Allred, sponsored by Culture Club; Barbara Ray, ponsored by Socialette Club; 'Iarion Gardner, sponsored by we American Legion Auxiliary, Uit 126, Fort Duchesne Women's Wo-men's Club and Al terra P-TA; flS ce Smith and Sally Burgess, sponsored by the Myton Legion Auxiliary, Unit 5; and Carma Jean Hansen, sponsored by the Altamont Auxiliary, Unit 53. Miss Asay, daughter of Mr. d Mrs. Seth Asay of Ballard, Js been very active in music unctions at Union High School, was a member of the Pep Club and a member of the yearbook rc stff. " Miss Allred is the daughter M Mrand Mrs. Don Allred of Roosevelt, and received recognition recog-nition in drama activity and served as reporter for the Science Club and as one of the art editors on the school newspaper news-paper at Union. Extremely active in music and dancing at Union High School was Miss Bartara Ray. She is a sister of Mrs. Ray Summers, Ft. Duchesne. She also al-so held an' office in the drama club and was a member of the Pep Club. ' Miss Marion Gardner is the daughter of John Delmar Gardner Gard-ner and a junior student at Union Un-ion High School. Her talents are singing and dancing and she has helped her father raise a younger young-er sister since the death of her mother. She assists in raising a garden ' each year and cans fruits and jellies. 4 A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Smith, Alyce was chosen F.F.A. She is active in music circles and was a member mem-ber of the school play cast. Miss Sally Burgess is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Burgess. She was a member of the yearbook staff; was homeroom home-room representative during her sophomore and junior years at Union High Schol; was cast in the school play and dance revue. re-vue. She is active in music and was elected to serve as student-body student-body historian next year. Miss Carma Jean Hansen, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Hansen, Mt. Emmons, has served this year as president of the junior class and as president presi-dent of the Altamont senior band. She has been active in music, student council and athletics. |
