Show Mrs. Elsie Bird Jack Gilbert In Seattle Hospital Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Gilbert Gil-bert received word that their son, Jack Gilbert, of Moses Lake, Wash., was in a Seattle hospital receiving medical treatment treat-ment for his back. He expects to have an operation before he leaves the hospital. We all wish Jack a speedy recovery. Alvin Sagers and son, Gary, of Salt Lake, visited Wednesday and Thursday at the home of his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin G. Shields. Mrs. Betty Coleman and Mrs. Donna Wilkerson, of the stake Primary board, visited Primary Wednesday. Mrs. Leah Richens and Dare-lyn Dare-lyn Cook brought Mrs. Cynthia Cyn-thia Larsen home Friday from Salt Lake, where she has been visiting. They spent Memorial Day here. Tom Judd, of Salt Lake City, came in to spend a few days with his mother, Mrs. Aoretta Holgate, and other relatives. George Evans, Miss Mary Evans, Ev-ans, of Salt Lake; Doyle Evans, of Mo'ab; Miss Roline Dolman, of Provo; Ross Phillips and Fred Bair, of Provo, visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Lusty. Mrs. Rose Gilbert, of Myton; Mrs. Jack Goodrich and son, of Tridell; Mrs. Edsel Murphy, of Salt Lake, attended Sunday School here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Lusty went to Salt Lake for Memorial Memor-ial Day. Mrs. Max (Evelyn) Mullins and children spent a few days visiting Mrs. Lula Mullins in Tridell. Mr. and Mrs. Sila Ross, of Castle Gate and Mrs. Colleen Peterson and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Sharon Holgate and family, fam-ily, of Kamas. were visitors, Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hale Holgate and Mr. and Mrs. Chad Evans. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Gilbert and children, of Provo, visited Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Gilbert. Mrs. Charlie Bird visited Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Levi J. Anderton in Duchesne. Leon Ross and Gwen Bodily went to Moses Lake, Washington, Washing-ton, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Shields and daughter, of Salt Lake, visited vis-ited Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin G. Shields. Mrs. Gwen Bodily, of Rand-lett, Rand-lett, and Karen and Brent Ro5s of Roosevelt, spent the weekend week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ross. RECEIVE AWARDS Mrs. Grace Larsen and her 4-H Club boys were really proud of the ribbons they got for their animals at the Stock Show in Vernal, Thursday and Friday. Fred Evans got a purple pur-ple ribbon on his steer, Gale Larsen got two blue ribbons on his pigs and a blue one on his steer; Clifton Larsen got a red ribbon on his steer; Larry Larsen Lar-sen got a white one on his steer. Hugh and Fred Evans won top honors in 4-H and F.F.A. setting and showing of their animals. Each received a certificate for Lee Rider overalls over-alls and $5.00. Bud Holgate was also present. The boys all had a very good time and were very pleased with the prizes they got for their animals. BIRTHDAY DINNER Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ross, of Roosevelt, entertained at a birthday dinner in honor of Lynn Ross, Sunday at their home. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ross, Donna and Lamar La-mar Ross, and Mrs. Merlynn Bodily. Mrs. Vivian Freston, of Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, visited a few days with her mother, Mrs. Archie Larsen. Lar-sen. Mr. and Mrs. Amos Gagon, of Sunset, are visiting at the home of Mrs. Gagon's parents, Mi. and Mrs. Eldon Thompson. AT SWARM DAY The Bee Hive girls and their leaders attended Swarm Day in Duchesne, Friday. Mrs. Gladys Caipson, Guardian; Eleanor Elea-nor Capson and Marsha Lusty, Mrs. Bessie Lusty, Gatherers; Linda Larsen, Mrs. Lois Ter-pening, Ter-pening, MIA president, and Mrs. Melba Larsen attended. |
