Show Randlett By Mrs. Viola Jensen Attend Swarm Day Those attending the Roosevelt stake Bee Hive Swarm Day Saturday Sat-urday from here were: Velma Pickup, Dian Taylor, Reah Pickup. These girls were the only entire class being honor Bees; Shirley Pickup, Irene Jensen, Lula Dudley, Eugenia Pickup and Viola Jensen. The Avalon ward presented the flag ceremony. Mrs. Hannah Harris gave the Social Science lesson Tuesday in Relief Society. Mrs. Mable Nebeker is visiting visit-ing relatives in Ogden. SPONSOR DANCE A dance was held Friday evening eve-ning at the Avalon ward hall. The Smith orchestra from Gusher Gush-er furnished the musica and was sponsored by the M.I.A. Mr. and Mrs. Jabaz Durfee were recent visitors at the homes of his brothers, Bishop Ralph Durfee and Fahy Durfee. Dur-fee. Mr. ond Mrs. Durfee recently re-cently returned from a mission in Texas. They were former residents res-idents here and will be charge of the Y.WM.I.A. home at Brighton this summer. Fahy Durfee and daughter, Deanna, were visitors Wednesday Wednes-day in Greenriver, Utah. Mr. Durfee brought a group of government officials back who had gone down Green River by boat from Ouray. Mr. and Mrs. Richard O'Niel and family were weekend visitors vis-itors at the home of Mrs. O'-Niel's O'-Niel's mother, Mrs. Ada Pickup. The following Jensens of Salt Lake City visited here over the Memorial Day weekend: Mr. and Mrs. George Jensen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Vir-gil Jensen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Van Jensen and daughter, Lydia, and Stanley Jensen. Speakers in Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday were: Miss Melissa Anderson and Lorraine Durfee, of Vernal Second ward. Lorraine Lor-raine gave her Declamation talk. Miss Melissa Anderson played a piano selection. Misses Grace McMullin and Beatrice Chandler went to Salt Lake City, Wednesday, where they will be employed for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Wall and daughter, Loni Rea, and Miss Sina Wall, of Salt Lake City, spent Memorial Day weekend week-end visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wall. The Avalon ward Leadership meeting was held Sunday evening. |
