Show LEOTA By Hazel Wardle Lions Meet Lions Club meeting was held Thursday evening at the home of Lewis Littleton. A dessert lunohon of pie and ice cream was served. Merlin Sprouse, son of Ray Sprouse, is making an extended visit with his father on Green River. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Barthol-mew, Barthol-mew, of Willow Creek, were Vernal visitors Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Stevens returned to Willow Creek where they are making their home this summer. Mrs. Golden Hatch and son, Davy, have gone to San Diego, Calif, to' visit her daughter, Joane Caldwell. Sharon Stevens went to Salt Lake with Juana Banks, her dancing teacher, where she and other students will dance. Mrs. Abe Hatch and daughter, daugh-ter, Betty Jane, went to Vernal, Ver-nal, Thursday, where Betty participated in Swarm Day activities. ac-tivities. Hazel and Alberta Wardle attended at-tended the Ceramics class held at Ft. Duchesne. Ray Summers, of the Indian Service is the teacher. GENEALOGY GROUP MEETS A genealogy report meeting was held at the home of Calvin Cal-vin Jorgenson Friday evening. There were 51 members of the family organization. After the meeting a program and weanier roast were enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Van Jensen and daughter, Lydia, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Jensen and children, and Mr. and Mrs. George Jensen and children, of Salt Lake City, were weekend guests at the home of Edgar Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Moore, of Provo, have moved out to their ranch in the valley for the summer. Mt. and Mrs. Harry Tomlin-son Tomlin-son attended the funeral of Mr. Tomlinson's sister at Duchesne. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Wardle have moved into the new home built by the Indian Department for them while Lee is in the Indian Police Department. |
