Show Saltatd Mrs. Ellen 'Bracken Phone 62062 Mia Maids Hold Rose Evening The Mia Maids of Ballard ward held their Rose Evening Tuesday. They had a lovely program pro-gram and assembled their Rose Bouquet and presented it to their leader, Lora Asay, who in turn presented it to the Y. W.M.I.A. president Myrle Gines. Bishop Golden Collins spoke to the group. Those present were: Virginia Jenkins and her mother, moth-er, Mae Jenkins; Judy Hatch and her mother, Stella Hatch; Wanda Sprouse and her mother, Ruth Sprouse; Billie Jean Bris-bin Bris-bin and her mother, Jean Bris-bin; Bris-bin; Carla Stanley and Charlotte Char-lotte Pitcher, and Mrs. Tilintha Rasmussen. Refreshments were served. The last Relief Society, except ex-cept for work days, was held Tuesday. The Solcial Science lesson was given by Mrs. Ardis Kettle. BOY BURNED Geddes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hullinger, was burned quite seriously last Tuesday forenooh, when he put a lighted match in an empty gas can. UNDERGOES OPERATION Neil White, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alden White, was operated on for appendicitis Tuesday morning in the Roosevelt Hospital. Hos-pital. He was taken home Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. and Mrs. Gam Bodily and children, of Salt Lake City, brought Mrs. Pearl Jenkins, of Roosevelt home for Memorial day. Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Halverson and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bingham, Bing-ham, of Neola, were visitors at the Charles Bingham home on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bingham and family expect to make their home in Neola. Mr. and Mrs. James Miller, of Springville, have been recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cook. Mrs. Bill Newland and baby have been here from Salt Lake City to visit her husband. DeLoy Squire, son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Squire, is able to be out again after the accident he had at the Alterra school. Mrs. Cecil Jenkins was on the sick list last week. SURPRISE PARTY Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Mann, Mr. and Mrs. Mowrey, from Vernal; Mr. and Mrs. L. P. An-derlee, An-derlee, Paul Bingham, John H. Johnson, of Myton; Mr. and Mrs. Angus Anderson, Mrs. Va da Eaton. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Butcher, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Butcher and Perry Butcher sur- prised Mr. and Mrs. Otis Butcher Butch-er at their home last Sunday evening. They all enjoyed a weiner and marshmallow roast. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Larsen and family, of Salt Lake City, spent the past weekend at the home of Mrs. Larsen's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Page. Their two children, Carta and James, spent a week here., Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Pool and two daughters, of Salt Lake City, spent the Memorial weekend week-end with the George Brackens. |
