Show Cash Balance For Duchesne County Was 5162,445.71 At End Of '53; Courthouse Bonds Only Liability Duchesne County's cash balance bal-ance at the beginning of 1954 was $162,445.71, as shown on the annual financial statment recently released by Porter L. Merrell, county clerk. Balance as of Jan. 1, 1953, was $80,-427.99. $80,-427.99. Receipts for the past year totaled to-taled $559,800.95, and disbursements disburse-ments came to' $477,783.23. Major receipts included $7,-745.52 $7,-745.52 in fines; $10,550.57 for forest fees; $10,812.92 for combined com-bined fees of clerk, treasurer, recorder and sheriff; $7,413.68 from the liquor fund; $83,-259.65 $83,-259.65 in current taxes; $1,-546.76 $1,-546.76 for juror and witness fees; and $184,644.23 in the courthouse fund from bond issue, is-sue, city, . and school district share of the building cost, as of Jan. 1. Disbursements and transfers in the general fund came to $63,992.61; road fund, $75,-510,53; $75,-510,53; poor, $7,748.83; noxious weed control, $8,879.08; exhibits, exhib-its, $2,170.03; agricultural aid, $4,037.25; courthouse, $3,533.94; bonds, $2,300.25; airport, $2,-230.93; $2,-230.93; Colorado River Development, Develop-ment, $200.00; flood control, $162,630.02; memorial, $47.76; courthouse building fund, $144,-502.00. $144,-502.00. Departmental expenses from the general fund for clerk was $6,884.74; $5,758.95 for treasurer; trea-surer; $9,065.52, for recorder; $6,264.31, for assessor; $6,- 330.36, for sheriff, and $2,-093.56, $2,-093.56, for attorney. County assets were listed as $169,061.04. The only liability was courthouse building bonds of $160,000.00, which investment invest-ment in the new building under construction will not be included includ-ed in the county assets until j completion of the structure. |
