Show Alitonali Ethel Beebe Ward Primary -lias Conference Ward Primary conference was held Sunday afternoon, May 15, in the ward hall, with President Ilez Ames and counselors Wilma Snyder and Beth Jessen in charge. The theme was "Wist Ye Not that I Must Be About My Father's bus-ines." bus-ines." Norma and Bonnie Jessen were in charge of the music, with Norma as the soloist. All the Primary children took part. Stake officers present were Edna Hart-man Hart-man of Mt. Emmons, and Alice Oman of Boneta. Albert Clark, who is employed in Salt Lake City, spent the weekend week-end with his family. His son, Bill, brought him out, Mrs. Rawley Thacker, of Salt Lake City, returned home Saturday, Satur-day, after visiting her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Allred. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Young and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Young, of Lapoint, were Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Young, Sunday, May 15th. Mrs. Milline Maxfield went to Bonanza Saturday, to visit her daughter, Mrs. Von Timothy and and Mrs. Charliey Timothy and families. Mr, and Mrs. John Richens and daughter, Donna, of Arcadia, spent Saturday night, May 14, with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weeks. Mrs. Richens is Mrs. Weeks' niece. MIA LEADERSHIP MEETING IS HELD Ward MIA Leadership was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lambert. Sunday night, May 15th. CONVENTION Mrs. Elva Snyder attended a post office convention in Provo last wek. Mrs. Wilma Snyder took care of the post office while she was gone. Mrs. Mary Carroll is employed at the Moon Lake Lodge. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden and daughter, Norita, made a bus-I bus-I ines trip to Somerset, Colorado, Monday, May 16, returning home I Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. George Eastman and family, of Whiterocks, were visiting at the home of Mr. -and Mrs. Ed Olsen, Wednesday. Mr, and Mrs. Joe Bush and baby, of Meeker, Colo., accom-I accom-I panied Glade Timothy, who is employed em-ployed in Meeker, is spending the weekend with Mr. Timothy's far-ilv. Mrs. Dick Clark and daughter, Sandra, went to Rangely, Monday to visit her husband, who is employed em-ployed there and to try to find a house to move in. One daughter, daugh-ter, Karen, stayed at the home of Mrs. Glade Timothy and another daughter, Norma, stayed at the home of Mrs. Marian Berrett, in Bluebell. Mrs. Clark came home, Tuesday, May 17. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Berrett and daughter, of Rangely, Colo., spent the weekend with relatives in Altonah. Al-tonah. Mr, and Mrs. Boyd Young moved to Rock Creek, Tuesday, where Mr. Young will ride for the Indian Cattle Association this summer. ' Mrs. Glade Timothy and family went to Meeker, May 20, to. get Mr. Timothy and Saturday they went on to Salt Lake City to transact business. Dick Clark has purchased a new Chevrolet pickup. Mrs. Betty Clark and girls spent a few days visiting Mrs. Clark's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Berrett in Murray during the week. Mrs. Dallas Ames and Mrs. Clenty Ames made a trip to Salt Lake City Wednesday, May 18, returning home Thursday, Mrs. Glen Ames, of Altamont, acom-panied acom-panied them. E. A. Call, of Roosevelt, visited at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Reay Jessen last week. Little Maxie Stevenson was in the Roosevelt Hospital from Wednesday Wed-nesday to Thursday, May 18 and 19, being treated for an ear and throat infection. Maxie is the i small daughter of Mrs. Minnie Lue Mevenson. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cole, of Pocatello, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Neldon Oliver, Mrs. Iva Draper and family, of Price, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cole and baby, of Og-den, Og-den, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olsen recently. |
