Show Saturday Is Poppy Day In Roosevelt, Auxiliary Directs According to Mrs. Denny Martin, Mar-tin, chairman of the Roosevelt American Legion Auxiliary Poppy Day committee, members of the unit will be on the streets of this community early Saturday morning morn-ing to sell you a poppy. Almost since the end of the first World War, back in 1918, the Nearest Saturday to Memorial Memor-ial Day, May 30, has been designated desig-nated by proclamation as "Poppy Day" through out the United States.
