Show LAP01I1T Mable Jenkins HOME ON FURLOUGH Norman Woolley, of San Diego, Calif., is spending a 14-day furlough fur-lough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milt Woolley and family. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Harrison and son, of Salt Lake City, are spending a few days with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Harrison. Harris-on. Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Jenkins, Jr. and daughter, Ilene, of Oak Creek, spent a week with Mr. Jenkins' Jen-kins' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Sr. and returned to their home, Sunday. Rex Jenkins returned home from Sidney, Nebraska and Sterling, Colorado, where he has been employed em-ployed at the oil fields. Mrs. Virgie Rasmussen and Mr. and Mrs. Rile Blackburn went for a medical check-up. Orvill Swain was in Randlett, Thursday, on business. Mr., and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Junior Stubbs and sons, Brent and Brion, of Vernal, and Mrs. Nettie Jensen, of Roose- velt, visited last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. William Abplanalp of Utahn. Mrs. Jensen, Mrs. Abplanalp Abplan-alp and Mr. Jenkins are sisters and brother. Merlin Norton, of Glines ward, visited his grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Sar-ah Norton, recently. Alyce Jenkins, a student of the B.Y,U., of Provo, spent the weekend week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Jenkins. Mrs. Marjorie Lee was a Roosevelt Roose-velt visitor Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Rile Blackburn are grandparents of two granddaughters, grand-daughters, a baby girl, born to Mr. and Mrs. Preston Searle, May 13 and a baby girl, born to Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Searle, May 18, both at the Uintah County Hospital. Mr., and Mrs. Arden Hacking and son, David, were visitors of Mrs. Hacking's mother, Mrs. Lyd-ia Lyd-ia Neilson, of Myton, recently. Joseph Horrocks and Mrs. Phoe-bie Phoe-bie Horrocks and daughter were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Horrocks Hor-rocks of Bennett recently. John Horrocks, of Bennett, visited vis-ited his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Horrocks, recently. Attending the MIA Leadership meeting in Vernal last Thursday evening were Phoebie Horrocks, Vereie and LaWanna Rasmussen, Orpha Kump, Vera Caldwell and Lawrence Caldwell. Mrs. Grace Lambert went to Salt Lake City Wednesday for a check-up. Mrs.. Mary Lou Huber was hospitalized hos-pitalized at the Uintah County Hospital from Monday evening to Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Art Norton and daughter from Salt Lake City, visited vis-ited his mother, Mrs. Sarah Norton, Nor-ton, and were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Von Haslem and family last Sunday at Alterra. Mrs. Agnes Walker, with a group of school cooks, started to Salt Lake City by bus for a pleasant pleas-ant sight-seeing trip. A wheel ran off the bus near Red Creek, about 10:30. By the time another bus came to their rescue, it was too late to continue, so they all returned re-turned to their homes. Mrs. Carma Hacking was a substitute sub-stitute at the post office, Friday and Saturday, while Mrs. Thelma Winn and Mrs, Mae Sprouse attended at-tended a postmasters' convention at Provo. Mrs. Mildred Mowrey and Mrs. Grace Lambert were Roosevelt visitors Saturday. , Eleanor Caldwell Camp, Daughters Daugh-ters of Utah Pioneers held their monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Harrison Thursday afternoon. Paper flowers were made for the undecorated graves. Those present were: Mrs. Fern Ny-berg, Ny-berg, Mrs. Marjorie Lee, Mrs.. Eva Christensen, Mrs. Virgie Rasmussen Rasmus-sen and LaWanna; Mrs. Jessie Neumeyer, Mrs. Pearl Perry, Mrs. Pearl Woolley, Mrs. Ora Swain, Mrs. Barbara Nyberg, Mrs. Mabel Jenkins, Mrs. Lillie Bigelow and the hostess. Lunch was served by Mrs, Barbara Nyberg, Mrs. Jessie Neumeyer and Mrs. Elizabeth Harrison Har-rison and Mrs. Pearl Perry. A visitor vis-itor was Mrs. Maxine Morril of Tridell. Sonny Christensen, of Blue Mountain, Colo., visited his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Christensen, Chris-tensen, and family, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Sr., Mrs. Merl Horrocks and son, Lewis Lew-is and daughter, Judy, of Lapoint, Mr, and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Jr. and daughter, Ilene, of Oak Creek, Colo., were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Workman and family on Thursday; also, Mr. and Mrs. Elvie Justice. Students of the BYU spending the weekend home with their parents par-ents were: Darris Rasmussen, Dale Harrison and Aylce Jenkins. Mrs. Jennie Schaefermeyer and children, of Canada, were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mowrey. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Marks, of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Forrell Col- j lins, of Ballard, and Mrs. Virgie Bastian, of Neola, visited Mrs. Barbara Nyberg Thursday. M. C.
