Show BLUt Mrs. Garda Seeley ; Fathers and Sons Outing Is Held A Moon Lake stake Fathers and Sons outing was held on Saturday, ; May 14 at the Altamont Rodeo : Grounds, where they enjoyed a delicious barbeque. The meat was cooked in the ground, wrapped in ' tin foil, topped off with all the ice cream they could eat. Those enjoying the fun were: Bishop James Bird, Larry Lison-bee, Lison-bee, Michael Lisonbee, Monte Wil-; Wil-; liams, Kent Williams, Dal Seeley, J Kent Remington, Garth Remington, Reming-ton, Jay Goodrich, Bob Goodrich, '., Marian Barrett, Gene Barrett, Earl ; Murray, Lloyd Murray, Norman ; Thomas, Dennis Thomas, Drew Goodrich, Ralph Goodrich, Phil - Remington, Paul Monsen. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Latturner, r of Price, were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Seeley. WINN F.F.A. AWARD AT STOCK SHOW On Friday, May 13, the Moon ; Lake F.F.A. held their annual Livestock Show at the stake Rodeo Ro-deo Grounds. Students from Al-- Al-- tamont and surrounding schools, ' as well as adults, participated in ,1 the show. The judge was Clair Acord, Uintah county agent, i Gary Goodrich was among the 1 Altamont students receiving a rib-1 rib-1 bon for his sheep. He received two blue ribbons (grand cham-l cham-l pion). GIRLS' DAY DANCE ' On Friday evening was the i Girls' Day Dance at the Altamont j. gym. The girls invited the boys' to the dance. Following the dance I a merry group of boys and girls I gathered at the home of Shana Lee Winkler, where they enjoyed I. a delicious snack. Attending were 1 Drew Goodrich, Alan Iorg, Jack Brotherson, Carolyn Dastrup, Janet Ja-net Seeley, Colleen Roberts, Ver-dus Ver-dus Miles, Ann Boswell, Josephine Wall, Phil Mathews, Duane Evans and Gwendolyn Chapman. SEMINARY GRADUATION HELD AT MT. HOME . The Seminary graduation exercises exer-cises were held on Sunday evening eve-ning at the Mt. Home chapel. Those from Bluebell ' graduating were Elsie Bird and Lucy Bird. The theme was "Choose the Right." Miss Mary Stevenson is nere staying with her sister, Hazey Goodrich, following her release from the Roosevelt Hospital. She is much improved, but will have) to remain off her foot for some ' time. Guests at the Claud Mathews home on Sunday were Mr, and Mrs. Bus Mathews and two children, chil-dren, of Bonanza; Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Murray, of Myton; and Mrs. Lila Larsen and children, of Myton. The Murrays also - visited with Mrs. Murray's mother, Mrs. M. Verona Winkler. Mrs. Laura Seeley held a quilting quilt-ing party at her home recently. Those assisting were Mrs. Loretta Murray, Mrs. Garda Seeley, Mrs. Essie Lambert, Mrs.. Merle Lisonbee, Lison-bee, Mrs. Jennie Goodrich and Mrs. Edna Latturner. Mrs. Norma Steed and baby, of Bountiful, and Mrs. Colleen Hancock Han-cock and baby, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend here with Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Hancock. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kennison and family and Mrs. Mary Kennison, Kenni-son, of Salt Lake City, spent Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday here visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Wm.. O. Larsen. Lar-sen. The Kennisons also visited in Talmage (where they previously lived) with friends. Mrs. Mary Kennison remained here in Bluebell Blue-bell for a longer visit with her daughter, Mrs. .Larsen and family. fam-ily. Mr. and Mrs. La Von Atwood are the very proud parents of a baby boy, born May 20th at the Roosevelt Hospital. The baby weighed 94 lbs. Karen Clark, of Altonah, was the overnight guest of Miss La-Ree La-Ree Larsen. BIRTHDAY PARTY Miss Mary Lee Lisonbee was the honored guest at a birthday party on Thursday afternoon. The following boys and girls gathered at her home to help Mary Lee I celebrate: LaRee Larsen, Chad I Winkler, Dean Thomas, Danny Bird, Rosie Bird, Melba Rae Rust, Roberta Denver, Jeanne Seeley, Jean Remington, Dennis Thomas, Connie Bird and Michael Lisonbee. Mr. and Mrs.. Stanley Gordon and two boys, of Sandy, spent Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday here visiting with Mr. and Mrs. James W. Powell. CORRECTION Miss Elaine Jenkins, Daphine Lisonbee, Barbara Bar-bara Bird, Carolyn Goodrich, Car-ma Car-ma Atwood, Telitha Bird and Julia Bristol were among the girls who modeled their dresses in the Fashion Fash-ion show at Altamont High School. In last week's news their names were not listed. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Benson and daughter were visitors at the Owen Ow-en Goodrich home, Sunday, Mrs. Junior Betts and family visited recently with the Grant Betts family. Mrs. Winford Gray and children from Lehi, are spending this week visiting friends and relatives in Tridell. Mr. Gray will come to Tridell Memorial Day to take them home. A large number from our ward attended Seminary graduation in Roosevelt Sunday night. Mrs. Russell Gingell and son, of Myton, visited at the Reed Mc Conkie home during the week. Mr. and Mrs, Ivan Ross, of Little Bonanza, spent the weekend in Tridell. Morlan Harvey came from Baggs, Wyo. to spend the weekend week-end with his family. He will move his family up this Saturday. FALL CUTS NOSE Randy Goodrich, small son of Mr. and Mrs. Rae Goodrich, had the misfortune of receiving a cut on his nose, Sunday, and had to have several stitches taken to sew it up. |
